Celle ci a une saveur tout à fait particulière puisque c'est enfin mon tout premier Martin 2020 , après m'être cassé les dents à plusieurs reprises sur mes spots habituels ces derniers temps , j'ai donc décidé de changer de tactique en exploitant d'autres endroits , armé d'une paire de jumelles j'ai cherché les indices m'indiquant ses lieux de pêche , et je suis tombé finalement sur une grosse branche de saule qui surplombe la rivière et c'est depuis cette branche que j'ai pu observer mon gaillard en action de pêche , ni une ni deux j'ai mis en place mon fameux mode opératoire habituel en fichant sur la berge un perchoir non loin de la branche et finalement ce matin là il est venu à deux reprises prendre possession de son tout nouveau plongeoir .

PS : Un grand merci à toutes celles et ceux qui choisissent de regarder , de commenter et d'aimer mes photos . C'est très apprécié , comme vous l'avez constaté , je ne répond plus directement suite à votre commentaire juste pour dire en fait " merci et bonne journée " , mais en retour je passe laisser une petite trace chez vous sur une ou plusieurs de vos éditions . This one has a very special flavor since it's finally my very first Martin 2020, after having broken my teeth several times on my usual spots lately, so I decided to change tactics by exploiting 'other places, armed with a pair of binoculars I looked for clues indicating its fishing grounds, and I finally came across a large willow branch overlooking the river and it is from this branch that I I was able to observe my fellow fishing, neither one nor two I set up my famous usual operating mode by tying a perch on the bank not far from the branch and finally that morning he came twice to take possession of its brand new diving board.

Many viewers have commented that The Guardian Building (originally The Union Trust Company Building) reminded them of a church.
This picture shows approximately half of the bank lobby on the main floor. Imagine the original bank building with 60-90 bank teller cages lining the entire length of both sides of this "nave". The ceiling was composed of a 3/4 inch (1.9cm) of horsehair and coated with a layer of plaster cement. Then, a canvas layer was applied, and painted with designs reminiscent of the patterns of Navajo rugs. This was a sound-deadening system.
The "altar piece" ( I suppose) was the three-story mural of the map of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Highlighted were the major Michigan moneymakers of the1890s to 1920s: mining, manufacturing, lumber, fishing, commerce, and agriculture. It was completed in 1929, unfortunately the year of the beginning of "The Great Depression".
This superbly decorated Art-Deco bank building was nicknamed "The Cathedral of Finance." So, if the earlier pictures reminded you of a church (reprised in the first comment below) --you were very observant : -)

Cet été, nous avons le bonheur de l'admirer plus longtemps...Que lui réserve l'avenir...ou les écureuils…:-)?

En mai et juin, le physocarpe à feuilles d'Obier 'Diabolo' produit des bouquets de petites fleurs blanches et roses, qui poussent au bout des tiges. Les fleurs deviennent ensuite des fruits rouges qui attirent les oiseaux et restent sur l'arbuste l'hiver.
