Lincoln weekend.
Friday night we went to our favourite food place, Lawson's. Amazing food in there! I always go for the beef blade with horseradish mash and red jelly.
Alice came along too - it was a great night! After the food we went to the Strait And Narrow for a couple of drainks.

I tried to increase the size of the cake in my picture from about half life-size. After,I found a narrow depth of fields and I experimented with wider lens apertures in order to throw more of the subject out of focus. Indeed I tried to keep a frame was composed well within the subject but was not too complicated in order to did not compete with the main subject for a viewer’s attention.

Mary's comments: Mullein – This is a well known Indigenous remedy for various ailments .
I suffered an Achilles Tendon Rupture some 10 yrs ago, and after surgery, to fix the body, I went to see a Traditional Healer at Chigamik Community Health Centre, to ‘fix my soul so to speak, as this injury was a very traumatic experience for me, in more than one way.
The Indigenous Healer – a well known Medicine Man – advised me to use two large Mullein leaves, place it on my ankle- leg, and tie it up with a bandage, after applying the Medicine balm (Minigun as we call it) on the leg.
I did this – but unfortunately, I got an allergic reaction to the leaves ( itching +++ ) perhaps due to the ‘fuzz’ on the leaves, and I had to sadly discontinue it. But this is not to say, it is not a good therapy, as others have had good results .
It took me back to a time in Srilanka, when we would see an Ayurvedic Medicine Man, for minor ailments, before we see a Western Doctor!

I did my second gig with the All For One (AFO) choir!
It was awesome, I had such a good time. At Cherry Burton Village Show. It was very well attended, loads of people there with lots of bands and stalls.
Beforehand I went to the Ferguson Fawsitt for chicken and bacon pie with my friend and fellow choir member Julie.
What an awesome day!
