CSX 7343, ex-CR 6156, trails CSX 607 on Q421-09 at Huntington, MA. Seven years on from the split, Conrail paint was becoming a rare find on CSX by 2006. The 7343 was repainted several years later and has since been retired.
CSX AC44CW no. 483 leads M426 as it sits tied down at South Meadow Road in Clinton facing east towards Ayer Hill Yard. Enjoy!
CSX local makes a few last switching move in Columbia before heading back across the river to Cayce. I like catching these CSX mother and mate combonations, but I'd prefer the slug to be an ex-GP30 every once in a while..... and be on lead.
CSX juice train loaded and headed north. I ran over to the tracks when I heard the crossing signal. But didn't have enough time to get to the other side to put the sun behind me.
CSX GP38-2 #2788 awaits its turn outside the Bryan Park repair facility in Richmond, VA. This unit was built in August, 1978 for Conrail as GP38-2 #8219. It was sent to CSX in the breakup of Conrail.
