CSX westbound train Q317 behind SD40-2 No. 8360 passes beneath the Thomas Subdivision bridge (former WM main to Elkins, WV), on February 5, 2013.
I shot some of my first train pictures at this crossing 30 years ago (sadly long gone.) It was nice to come back out here and do it again.
A southbound CSX train speeds along Monon road and approaches Roselawn, Indiana on June 15th, 1995. Train had CSX #5807 in the lead with 3 trailing and 19 cars. Normally catching trains along this road involved a lot of dust in the photo due to trying to get ahead of it in the gravel, stopping and shooting. Since that's not the case, I'm assuming I heard it come across the Thayer detector and had time to get ready....Train is passing MP 56 which can be seen next to the 3rd unit. Ponderosa Sun Club would be to my right across the tracks, which is where Nudes A Poppin is held.......

Tropicana Juice train Q140 rolls by MP QA 9.7 on the CSX Trenton Sub. While the darkness may not work great, the setting sun reflecting on the solid white Tropicana cars is kind of neat.

CSX GE fat heads 824 & 2 lead an Eastbound at CP359 in Perinton, NY on March 23, 2019. We had a couple inches of snow overnight, and I was attempting to get some trains in the fresh white stuff, but it melted pretty quick.

Train Y220 snakes around an S-curve by NW 97th Ave. The curve was likely designed to suit exit ramps for a potential interchange that was never built. The 39 and 7786 are shuttling empty FRKX hoppers perhaps to clear Hialeah Yard for Dorian.

Rebuilt CSX road slug leads a train out of Cayce Yard in South Carolina. It was built in 1964 as Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad EMD GP35 3568. CSX is getting rid of a lot of their slugs, but this one was still in service coupled to GP40-2 6943 when I made this photograph on Noember 29, 2021.
In the early 2000s CSX had a fleet of locomotives painted orange for maintenance train service. Some of those units migrated into revenue service as seen here in Berea, Ohio, on an eastbound manifest freight. (Scanned from color negative film)
A road slug is tucked into the motive power consist of this westbound Q299 auto rack train as it passes through Clinton, Ohio, on the New Castle Subdivision.
CSX train T101 was led into West Jax yard by an SD40-2 around 1 a.m. Around 5 pm, the power was wyed for the GE to lead because the SD40 had no AC and a bad radio.
It seemed on this day, both carriers where adamant about getting their accumulated CSX power out of the basin.
