CSX O72127 passes the C-1W "Black Creek Canal" in the Kendall area of Miami-Dade County out of Krome Quarry. This portion of the GPC spur is interesting, the trains go the opposite of their intended direction, whereas the train is heading south it is running railroad north towards Hialeah. A socially distanced swap meet organized by ECHOES allowed a good opportunity to grab this on the way out. This stretch is often one-and-done territory due to traffic patterns going to and from Krome Av. 88th St is the nearest access point to the more developed portion of Dade, whereas your other options are 8th St and 184th street, both at least 5 miles out. Cool crew onboard.

Continuing with the standard cab theme of June 17 2020 ,here is CSX train V089 with an SD40-2 / SD50 pair westbound approaching Lodi, Oh. Thanks to the Sham's ears, we knew this guy was headed west when we left Mansfield and were able to intercept before setting up for the W&LE 735. I did see a wide cab off in the distance that day when the Ashland job was getting close to Willard but wsa nowhere close to shooting one.

It was short lived, as standard power became GE C40 variants just a short time later.

In the small country town of Niangua, MO a short stack train pause at the East end of the siding to wait for an approaching Westbound. I'm not sure why but as soon as I arrived this train started easing forward, then just when I thought my chance for an exposure had passed, they stopped again. I rushed to get a shot while I still had time, this was the result. Not often I get to see a CSX dash 8 just a few minutes from my house, especially not in YN2.
