A CSX local backs through a connecting track past the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church on the south side of Jackson, TN. CSX still operates an isolated segment of the former NC&StL Nashville-Memphis main line that crosses the West Tennessee Railroad just north of Iselin Yard, and CSX has rights over the WTNN from Milan to Jackson to access this trackage.
I caught this job arriving at Rainelle WV on April 21, 1988. CSX 4286 leads 6797, 2109, 6334, 6379 and 4132 on 100 empties. I probably should have aimed the camera at the sunbathing blondie across the road that has the hoggers attention but chose the colorful geep instead. Lol I wasn't always the sharpest tool in the shed even in those days:)!

CSX MP15 number 1138, in new boxcar paint, has shoved a boxcar into the USG warehouse in Jacksonville, Fl. This is one of two spurs into the company, and it is normally not used.
November 23, 2013: A pair of CSX EMD standard cab engines (SD50, SD40-2) lead a GE AC4400CW engine, as they pull a Southbound manifest/freight train CSX *Q539 (Cincinnati, OH - Waycross, GA) down the CSX W&A Subdivision at Emerson, GA.
*This train symbol has since been abolished.
CSX 6067 leads a Chessie Cat and a pair of YN2 GP40's on R135 at New Castle Yard on October 1, 1992.
The CSX OCS, running as P001, slows down to the crew change point on the old main at Wauhatchie. While the two GEVO's were a bit of a bummer, the main draw for me was the debut of the newest addition to the OCS fleet, the Moonlight Dome. This car was built by Budd in 1946 for the C&O for what was going to be "The Chessie" streamliner train. After that project dissolved, the car was sold to the B&O & over the course of time, ended up in private ownership before being sold to CSX in late 2020. Fun fact: with the addition of this car, this now means that every Class 1 that runs in the USA now has at least one dome car in their OCS fleet. 3-2-21

Three CSX SD50's lead an Eastbound across the Youghiogheny River Bridge at Versailles, PA on 3/26/2016. Getting 3 standard cab engines on a train in 2016 was a real score!

A CSX train crosses the massive Louisville & Indiana ex-PRR Ohio River Bridge from Louisville, Ky. to Clarksville, Ind.
CSX Stealth Gray C40-8 7572 leads newer C40-8W 7652 on train Q383 at 11th Street in Beaver Falls, PA on September 6, 1992. This was the location of the P&LE Beaver Falls freight station, which was just off to the right of the photo.
CSX Transportation GP40-2 no. 6201 is seen running light down the Bayonne Industrial Track, headed to service customers in Bayonne and Constable Hook. The line through here was once the 4-track mainline of the Central Railroad of New Jersey, which ran from Communipaw Terminal to Bayonne before crossing the Lower Bay Bridge to continue west through New Jersey. Nowadays the railroad only has one track through here, with the rest of the right-of-way occupied by tracks and stations of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail.
