CSX GP30m 4228 still in Chessie colors rests at the New Castle Yard in Mahoningtown, PA on January 17, 1994. Trudy and I liked to go up to New Castle on occasion and do a little night photography. On this night we set her camera up on the tripod and took a few photo's. Usually we would take turns with the tripod and end up with doubles of everything. I can't find an image that would have been taken with my camera, maybe it was too cold and we just took one photo with her camera. I was shooting Kodachrome and she was using Ektachrome at the time.

For the most part, CSX's former New York Central and Conrail Big Four line between Berea and Greenwich Ohio is straight as an arrow diagonal across all the east-west quadrant roads in the area. One exception is this curve at Jones Rd on the south side of Wellington. Here we have a lone ES44-AC on the front of Q162-16. Q162 is a North Baltimore to Port Newark NJ mixed freight.
