CSX M216 Pulling out from Marion Yard after dropping some Autoracks

This CSX local train is based out of Lyons, NY. They're westbound here over the wetlands at Montezuma after switching ADM a mile east of here, and Central New York Feeds in Jordan, NY. The consist is usually made up of grain cars and some occasional tankers; this boxcar (CSXT 142681) however is a mystery.

CSX 852, a single engine on train Q261 is putting its autoracks away on the west end of the Connellsville Yard in the middle of a blizzard. Traffic on the rails was noticeably down with some non-priority trains being held in Connellsville due to bad conditions to the southeast in Maryland.

CSX O72120 shoves on the "Florida Rock Lead" to Vulcan Materials Miami Quarry. The Pride in Service ES44AHs 3194 and 911 make their first as painted appearance on this line. Suburban sprawl had made it to this area, much to the surprise of myself and the friends I chased with. A mile away the turnpike's west side suddenly gained a Topgolf and plenty of retail shopping and dining, and now new warehouses continue popping up evident with the for lease sign in frame and perhaps the cleared lot as well. This area used to be dominantly Australian and Melaleuca forest with mineable limerock.

I remember seeing a post about this sign in some Facebook groups before this trip and thought it was pretty funny and it would be cool to catch a train by it. Little did I know, it was in Jamestown, GA just outside of Waycross which was exactly where I would take a trip to with a friend of mine. We made sure we got a photo of at least one train by the sign and shortly after our trip it was changed.

After C970 got out of the way, Q418-26 cranks it up as they head east through TL with the SD40-2/SD60M showing their short train whos boss. With the sun being the way it was, I could only do so much. November 26, 2016.

A classic CSX photo-bomb. K602 WAS supposed to have the Canadian Pacific as the lead engine, but, plans change. Due to our beloved PSR, the decision was made to combine the train with the Q158. Typically, the two CSX locomotives would be DPU'ed, but, for whatever reason, they put them on the head-end of the train. Photo taken just after sunset. Things don't always go as planned.

After not having any 4 Axles to switch the job. An unusual morning occurrence of CSX shoving out to the A industrial using the Y116 job.

CSXT 5879 rests in the Cayce, South Carolina rail yard back on July 2008. She was a GE B36-7 built as the same number for Seaboard System in 1985. She was retired shortly after this shot. I don't believe she sat in that spot long as she is fouling the main line and the Amtrak Silver Star trains will be along shortly.

CSX K423 goes by the former L&N searchlight signals near the GA/TN line.

A pair of Norfolk Southern engines (SD70M-2 EMD, D9-44CW GE) run sandwiched between two CSX engines (ES44AH GE, CW44AC GE), as they pull a Northbound CSX freight train across the Etowah River on the CSX W&A Sub just outside of Cartersville, GA on 2/7/2015.
