Christmas 2018

Taken on the Riverwalk area in downtown San Antonio, TX. The Christmas lights are dangling from the cypress branches drooping over the river.

Christmas Stuffing Christmas Card from "Horace & Herbert" collection

After a long Christmas meal at Paul Bocuse, I was dropped off by taxi at the centre de ville and took a nice long stroll along the rue de Republique to the Soane, where I took this picture of the tree of flowers with the festive ferris wheel rising in the background.

I crossed the bridge and made my way to Part Dieu to catch the TGV back to Paris. Altogether, it was a special Christmas.

Sorry it has taken so long to load all of them. They have been coming in pieces over the course of a month. I was having issues with my camera and software. This is the complete set. Snow Miser got the ax because I just totally lost interest. The newest addition in these pics are the 4 Nightmare Before Christmas characters.

My dad and my aunt opening presents. But what did me and my sisters notice? THAT CHAIR. On the right, in the background. Me any my little sis are both absolutely in love with that chair, and wish they'd held on to it. Rich blue, mid-Century design with silver accent thread?? Oh my goodness, how fabulous!

The silver tree to match is super-awesome as well.

Christmas POSTCARD swap from JanHardt

Just playing around with a few ideas for Christmas gifts.

My sister got a kitten named Timmy for Christmas. He immediately took charge of the model railroad set and played the part of a giant monster attacking the passengers and terrorizing the countryside. Next he attacked a little wind-up toy that would start out as a double-decker bus, go into a tunnel, and come out the other side as a single level bus, then reverse course to go back through in the other direction and pick up the double deck again. At the end of the movie, someone rings his dinner bell in the kitchen and he goes running off.

Elves ornaments.

During the Christmas holidays, I visited a store that specializes in Christmas ornaments. This Pine Cone captured my eye as it reminded me of my mom's hobby of collecting these and using them as Christmas ornaments. Also, the bokeh behind was intentional and are from the lights of a tree. I hope that you all had a wonderful time of reflection of the birth of the Savior at Christmas. Happy New Year to all!

Christmas ornaments completely of polymer clay made by me.

They are so much fun :)

Lincoln Christmas Market 2014

Lincoln brought the first traditional German Christmas market to the UK as part of its friendship and twinning with the town of Neustadt in Germany. The market grows annually, constantly adding new attractions to excite the senses of visitors from near and far.

From its beginnings in 1982 with just 11 stalls in Castle Square, the market now takes over most of the cultural quarter of the city, with well over 250 stalls.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas tree seller, outside a farm near Milton Abbas -we couldn't oblige and buy one as our new flat is too small.....not a bad shot considering I had the wide angle lens on, in the car, and into the light (with a bit of editing)!

I'm going to use this for this week's flickr Friday theme..catchy colours
