Merry Christmas slightly early! That hat was surprisingly hard to sew. If you look carefully you will see a small squirrel on that shelf in the back.

It is not often that you can describe a day in central Florida as "bitterly cold", but this day was exactly that, which was perfect for taking a stroll over to the Boardwalk. I felt like I was stepping into a scene from HBO's Boardwalk Empire, minus the bootleggers and crime. I was trying to get some shots of the Christmas decorations, and I felt like this guy was following me the whole time. Every time I tried to get out of his way, it seemed as though he was still following me. Then I realized he was part of a wedding party that was about to come through and take photos in the lobby. Needless to say, I got out of the way real quick and went out to enjoy the boardwalk.

I have one that starts looking glorious around Thanksgiving - I guess it should be called a Thanksgiving Cactus.

Every Christmas my church in Memphis has a "Singing Christmas Tree". This year was the 38th annual program. They have been using the same 44 foot tall tree since 1976. I was a "Townsperson" in this year's program. It was so much fun to be a part of. We had 7 performances. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
Unedited shot of a singing Christmas tree in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1.
Yesterday was a bit of a shit day at the office, so I was glad to get out of there and to bike off the stress and frustration of the day, and luckily on the way home I came across this human singing Christmas tree that was standing outside the Amstel Hotel, singing Christmas songs for the entertainment of the rich people entering the Hotel, but us poor people passing by stopped as well and enjoyed the show for a while. The singer lady was really sweet and lovely, together with her pretty voice, this created a beautiful, Christmas'ish atmosphere, people sat down on the ground and sang along, everybody was snapping some pictures or movies of the whole event, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who left completely happy, with a big smile on his face, and a lot less worries on his mind. Thank you so much for making my crappy day a great day dear singing Christmas tree lady, and if I was rich, I would hire you to stand in my street and do your thing all month long, you rock :)
Of course I've made a movie of the singing Christmas tree as well, check it out on my YouTube page, thank you :)
