A seasonal MOC, made for a contest at Comunidade 0937.
It's a cottage decorated for Christmas. Created using basic bricks and tiles, it's one of my rare buildings.
It was a big effort to create such a thing. My parts collection is oriented to the creation of vehicles, not houses.
Also it doesn't have minifigs, although it is minifig scale. The contest rules would not allow it. Besides, my minifigs are mostly city workers, mechanics and race car drivers.
Inspiration came from many photos and postcards I found on Google.
I wish I could put a V8 and some big tires in there... :D

I'm travelling and need to figure out how to hook onto the wireless; I'm borrowing my father's computer currently. This is a stylized Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer with the symbol for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for his nose. CBC owns this animated feature.

Christmas 2017 in Catford: I’m such a dutiful hausfrau! Pal got me the pink vacuum cleaner of my dreams for Christmas.
Yesterday was Christmas decoration party at the post-graduate labs. I've got absolutely no talent for such things. Yvette helped me to decorate the crypto lab.

One reason I wanted to make this is that i couldn't find any out there I really liked. I like realistic and very simple, not a lot frills on things. I tried to capture how dimensional the fir is in that top angled shot.
p.s. It's fairly large. Looks good over a doorway or window.

We attempted some portraits of my daughter in her Christmas dress today. Things seemed to go wrong from the start. I left my photo backdrops and backdrop stand at school where I was using it with my students (we made due with our comforter). Then, Ellia just did not want to cooperate tonight. She was way too distracted with everything else to sit still. This is actually the first session we've tried with her since she started walking.
I had spent the day painting a nice white chair just for this session. We were able to get her to sit still in it for about a total of 10 seconds. Therefore, I didn't get too many shots with it. I was lucky to get the few that I did. Tomorrow we'll try again, but this time shortly after her nap when she is in a better mood.

For the All New Scavenger Hunt #6 - Family Festivities. My in-laws were in northern Wisconsin for the holidays, so we celebrated Christmas with them yesterday. These are my feet. What can I say I like fun socks! That's Boo Boo on the right checking to see if my son had any pizza left.
