The Christmas lights in downtown Seattle are beautiful, but I must admit I have zero experience in night photography. So along with attempting 'pretty' shots, I decided to try some zooming on this giant tree just outside Westlake Mall.

christmas decorations are now on display and christmas carols are being sung in the airwaves as the "ber" months ushers in the early christmas celebrations in the philippines. this is a normal tradition locally. i took these images last septem'ber' but only got to post them today. anyways a jolly christmas to you guys!

I've had nothing to do for almost a week and a half now since I've been on break so I decided to do something nice, and make treats for my mom's class. They're brownies shaped like trees with frosting and sprinkles for lights, and a candy cane for the stump. We all watched the Polar Express, with the brownies and hot chocolate. Good day, good day indeed.

Big party around the 13 meters tall Christmas Tree in the historic heart of Schiedam with carols. choirs, candels, santa claus, oliebollen, chocolatemilk, the ice queen and purple led lights around the square.
I hiked the Oregon Dunes Loop trail across the dunes and beach near Florence, Oregon today after a fine gathering for Christmas at my mother's home nearby. My new Keen Summit Country boots did an excellent job of helping me ford sections of the seawall trail that were bogged down with high water. The 2 mile walk down the beach was challenging, with 50 mile an hour winds blasting away, hitting me head on. I'd accidentally left my rain pants at home, so my pants got soaked, but REI's superlative Kimtah rain jacket kept the rest of me, my phone and camera dry.
The Christmas Angel was released from a tree at the ranch, this last Christmas while more industrious family members (as opposed to those inside playing cards!) were outside cutting trees for the Christmas bonfire. Isn't she amazing?
I think she is a guardian angel as well.
Jim and I bought Becky a lovely pink Fuji Finepix Z5 for christmas andI thought it was a fantastic little camera, and as a surprise Jim bought me one also so that I can carry it in my handbag. This is one of the first shots I took with it. I am delighted with the results. I hope you all had a great christmas.
