The day after Christmas. Sure, I went to work. I was not only the only one in the office, I was the only one in the building. Hey, what's 6" of snow? Yeah, she's old. But she's 100% dependable and easy on gas.
A trio of crocheted Christmas Trees - Classic, Whimsical and Blue - to please the little ones and the adults during this festive season.
Great as a last minute Christmas gift, decorating your home or even as a table centerpiece for your Christmas feast!

CHRISTMAS TREE BALLS shows a multitude of images. When the visitor points a finger at this exhibit, each mirror ball reflects a slightly different image. No matter where the balls are put, they will reflect some image, as long as there is light. The dark sections between the balls occur because all the light is reflected back and forth between the balls, and none of it reaches the eye. The exhibit's side panel can be raised to reveal that the balls are in fact round, even though the dark edges make them appear to be crinkled.

An estate sale today yielded all this stuff! Christmas galore, vintage children's books,a delicate miniature set of nesting baskets with lids, and more! They didn't have the Christmas ornaments out yet so I was the first to get a go. I LOVE Christmas stuff! My favourites are the international doll ornaments and the 10" Holt Howard feathery angel.
Except for the red and green Christmas tree stocking and the snowman stocking at the left, all these stockings have been knit by my mom and sister over the years. Mine is the pink and green one.
December 8th - I worked on creating my Christmas cards tonight. Usually I design it on the computer and then print it out.This year I decided to stamp the cover after find this great stamp.

I am getting crafty-desperate... do you know what I mean? Feeling jealous of all those people on flickr, who sew and make and draw and paint and fix???
So yesterday I simply told myself to go touch nice cotton fabric for a few hours. It worked, I felt a lot more calm afterwards! :-) In a few weeks time things will be calmer and I can do this more regularly, I tell myself...
Here is a bit of christmassy patwork mess going on... I do not know exactly where it will go, but it could become a bag. Wonky and slanting and totally off, it made my day!
Another Christmas Treat!
1 1/2 cups vegetable margarine
3/4 cup powdered sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Candied Pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream margarine, gradually add powdered sugar and salt. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and pecans. Blend in flour gradually and mix well. Bake 12-15 minutes, roll in more powdered sugar when cooled. About three dozen.
Candied Pecans: Place shelled pecans on cookie sheet and drizzle pecans in agave syrup and bake in oven at 225 until toasted. Cool.
