Merry Christmas everyone!
And , if I had power functions lights, I totally would've have put them inside to get a TRUE Christmas scene, but I don't even have any regular Christmas lights to use. =(
i declared today christmas tree day, dragged my cousins over to my place, and we set the tree up. :)
From all of us to all of you I wish you a very Happy Christmas Eve! The elves have been busy wrapping the gifts for Santa's delivery tonight and the Princess is on her best behavior.
This is a slightly cross-processed shot of our tree and I gave Gimp a whirl in trying to give it a sort of Polaroid look. This proved to me I have no idea how to do all this layer stuff so many of you talk about :-)
May the angels look over you and bring you the glad tidings. Thanks as always for taking time to visit and comment making Flickr a joy. I think a lot of you are taking a Flickr break for Christmas but I expect to still be here. Even if it means visiting while comforting Junior :-)
This is my petit garden I have on my bedroom balcony. This is from last year's Christmas. I'm thinking about doing the exact same thing again. What do you think? I'm in such Christmas spirit ^___^
With the chaos of Christmas dinner preparation in the background a look at the deserts made by my wife and daughters. At left, top are almond logs, middle Italian Christmas cookies, bottom almond stars. In front are rum balls. To the right a wonderful Christmas trifle. My daughter Carolyn found this to be no mere trifle to make. All were enjoyed by those assembled - there were 10 of us.
My Christmas wreath I made in my friend Judy's workshop. We even had snow to add to the festive atmosphere.
Merry Christmas to one and all, across the Flickrverse. Looks like a greenish Christmas in our part of SW Ontario. A few left over patches of the evil white stuff lying around, but none expected till after the big day. I hope that each and every one of you has a blessed day tomorrow, and may Christmas be all you want it to be, and more.

14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
My late brother sent me this card in 2002. It is not, as this image suggests, two dimensional - but this is the only way I could scan it. Opened it stood on the mantelpiece as a 3D diorama. He knew I would like the steam engine - and the old car. It is one of the very few cards I have ever kept, let alone scanned.
I love old photos......found this one today in a big box of old photos...this little girl was in tons of them.....this one says Christmas 1961 on the back....Killer #4 blonde ponytail and flocked hair Ken in their wedding finery...this little girl had a very happy childhood judging by the photos.....

I love these fruits! They're so beautiful~ I just had to photograph them!! I like to use the seeds in a spinach salad with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pecans, raisins and Swiss cheese (oh, and don't forget the sea salt!). Yummy! View On Black
Have a wonderful weekend, Flickr friends!

Today, I watched the movie The Muppet Christmas Carol and it kind of put me in Christmas spirit.
Earlier, I didn't use to like the Muppets but later on when I watched their films they made me laugh.
In particular, Ms. Piggy and this bear that always wants to say something but nobody pays attention.
Anyways I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS :)
you like my work? :)
Our son Brian and his family celebrated Christmas 2011 with us at our home in Richmond, VA.
The julenisse (Christmas elf) in the center of the table was the first Christmas gift we received from our Norwegian cousins in 1999.
The china was also a gift from our Norwegian cousins. The pattern is 'God Jul' (Merry Christmas in Norwegian) by Magnor Porselen. The pattern with julenisser (Christmas elves) was designed by Lars Carlson.
The table cloth was my Swedish grandmothers.
