Merry Christmas everyone!! From Kelly Masako and Acer

I hope an E-Card is ok ;-)

We`ve had quite a year!! In February we up-sticks and flew across the pond, we had a great month travelling NewYork, Arizona, then up to Salt Spring Island BC where we have made a clearing in the woods and half-built a house. Most of 2010 we have lived in a yurt and we`re really looking forward to 2011 in a real house. We`re enjoying our new life here, met new friends, done plenty fishing and mushroom picking lol.

Lots of love from us and looking forward to your news too. Kelly Masako and Acer

We celebrated Christmas 1958 at my maternal grandparents' house in Quanah, Texas.

I'm the boy sitting at the table. I was nine years old. My sister, Diane, has her back to the camera.

So I made this a little early but whatever, Christmas time is here! It's so close omg time has flown...

Forget my complaining, lol now the photo. I haven't been doing much photography lately, at least not the solo ones that I've been wanting to do, go venture out somewhere new. But clone shoots are my favorites. :)

WOW I had a great christmas. I generally don't get that feeling of wonder or excitement around this holiday anymore since the fun days of my childhood are over. This year, getting to just sit back and chill Doug, with no obligations of schedule or added stresses turned out to be the best christmas I could ask for. Oh, yeah... the presents were pretty awesome too ;) I made a grid of the events and gifts of christmas. Some were given to me, some I made to give to others. Some are crappy iPhone photos, so please excuse the grain. Happy Holidays everyone! And a very Happy New Year!!

Christmas dinner ended with dessert, ice cream with cream.

[Straight from camera] I forgot to take any pictures on Thanksgiving so I wanted to be sure to get some of the Christmas settings - even if none of food is out yet. For our first Christmas hosting in our first house, we gave each family member an ornament to remember the holiday by...each couple received matching (but not identical) Christmas balls in gold and red. Napkins were folded in triangular "trees" and the ornaments hung around them. I was quite pleased by the effect.

So guys, first of all merry Christmas. I was very shocked of what I got. I was only expecting half of this! Now, I want to make this description short and simple so heres a list of what I got in total from both pics.

The fact that the streets of the old city are always wet from the near-constant rain makes them reflect the christmas lights.

One of 12 Christmas cards I made in December of 2006 for friends. This one has a fun color combination for a christmas card. I used rub ons for the red letters and free handed the silver letters in the same font. A little bit of sewing and some strips of white mat board were added to this one as well.

everything looks better with some snow and colorful lights

From Newsday, December 17, 1989:

"Miller Place - 32 Miller Farms Drive - This home has 60,000 blinking lights, glowing plastic figures, lilting carolers and a 6-foot-high robot Nativity scene. Collection by homeowner benefits diabetes research. Outside toyland of 50 soldiers, 24 large and 20 small choirboys, three trains, a castle, a gingerbread house, two fireplaces, a cement truck with a rotating drum, the Old Woman in the Show, more than 60 plastic Santas and snowmen."
