Christmas Robin
A winter shot of our Chorus Master which somehow hasn't seen the light of day until now. This little Robin would sing all day long and was happy to pose for the occasional photoshoot.
Just totally love this time of year and the cookies we can make. I'm partial to the mini's, and can't wait to give these to all my friends. So blessed to have my son home from Marine bootcamp for a few days, can't concetrate on cookies too much.
A macro shot of a single branch on a Christmas tree. It's amazing the detail you see up close. This branch was a little dried out.
With the chaos of Christmas dinner preparation in the background a look at the deserts made by my wife and daughters. At left, top are almond logs, middle Italian Christmas cookies, bottom almond stars. In front are rum balls. To the right a wonderful Christmas trifle. My daughter Carolyn found this to be no mere trifle to make. All were enjoyed by those assembled - there were 10 of us.

The good bits of what are left of our Spring Christmas centerpiece after throwing out all that had gone bad.

This is the fireplace in our new house.
Three Christmas balls on a row. The silver balls left and right are full of air. The ball in the middle may or may not be filled with air too, but for sure it is also full of happy feminine thoughts.
..... is very definitely not over until twelfth night in our house and as if to prove it, this beautiful ornament arrived on my doorstep today from one of my flickr friends in America !
Thank you so much Kate (kavingate) ...... you choose the most beautiful ornaments and are a genius at finding cake related ones too ! I love it and as you can see, it went straight on the tree !

Today, I watched the movie The Muppet Christmas Carol and it kind of put me in Christmas spirit.
Earlier, I didn't use to like the Muppets but later on when I watched their films they made me laugh.
In particular, Ms. Piggy and this bear that always wants to say something but nobody pays attention.
Anyways I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS :)
