Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!

Singapore, 2021

Just needs a tumbleweed blowing across the street.

Alcohol gel transfer on Arches 88 paper with some crackle gel mixed in for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Today everyone is celebrating a Christmas in July. Given many of the population who celebrate the 25 December Christmas tradition are confronted by hot temperatures then, many now get to bring out their Christmas themed jumpers, hats and mittens. The Trees are also in their mid-winter bareness and the sky is grey, so a bit of bright red and green is welcome.

Bound for Chicago, a Metra train sprints through Wheaton on a wintry Sunday morning. My intention had been to continue with my Thai agricultural series but, with the recent onslaught of arctic air here in the Upper Midwest, I decided to temporarily put the rice on ice :) Stay warm friends! Or, if you live in a warm climate, ice versa :)

Idd church - Halden - Norway

Idd church is from around 1100s

The church has a medieval baptismal font in soapstone. Altarpiece and pulpit were given as a gift by Pernille Christoffersdatter Friis and parish priest Niels Olufsen Dorph in 1656

According to an old legend, two sisters, Ida and Ara, have each build their own church, one in Idd and the other in Aremark. After these sisters, according to tradition, the villages should have been given their names..

Winter beech trees, February in the woods.

Bare trees and fog this morning and a temperature of 57F made December 1st feel like a warm spring day.
