Native to Eurasia and North Africa. Found in northern and northeastern part of India, in mid and upper reaches of Himalayas.
"Inspired by Alpine’s rich heritage, the A110 places driving pleasure front and centre. The mid-engined, two-seater sports car takes Alpine’s core principles - agility, compact size and lightweight build - and deploys them with modern day expertise. In its element both on the racetrack and a winding mountain road, the A110 is still refined and effortless to use every day."

Two species of chough /ˈtʃʌf/ constitute the genus Pyrrhocorax of the Corvidae (crow) family of birds. These are the red-billed chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), and the Alpine or yellow-billed chough (P. graculus). The white-winged chough of Australia, despite its name, is a member of the family Corcoracidae and only distantly related.
The choughs have black plumage and brightly coloured legs, feet, and bills, and are resident in the mountains of southern Eurasia and North Africa. They have long broad wings and perform spectacular aerobatics. Both species pair for life and display fidelity to their breeding sites, which are usually caves or crevices in a cliff face. They build a lined stick nest and lay three to five eggs. They feed, usually in flocks, on short grazed grassland, taking mainly invertebrate prey, supplemented by vegetable material or food from human habitation, especially in winter.

Okemo Mountain Resort is a ski resort in Ludlow, Vermont. Before becoming a popular ski resort destination, Ludlow was originally a mill town and was the home of a General Electric plant until 1977.
Okemo features an Alpine Slide which is pictured here. Common sense has prevailed over the last thirty years as today these cars are locked into the track unlike when I was younger and too much speed could cause the car to jump right off the track.

Finished! I love it to so much; it's so comfy and elegant! :D I debuted it at Stitches West today and it got some compliments. Thanks to my boyfriend for the photos.
When traveling into the alpine we often talk about the weather window - the forecasted time period of good weather. The bigger the window the better. Some trips you get blue bird clear skies from north to south and sometimes you only get a sneak peak at what it could have been. In this case it's sort of like the weather is playing a dirty mean trick on you.

Saddlebag Lake is an Alpine Lake on the eastern side of Tioga Pass, off route 120, which is itself within Yosemite National Park. It is in the High Sierra, at over 10,000 feet in elevation. The 20 Lakes Basin hike, which starts at Saddlebag Lake, is one of my favorite hikes in the Yosemite Area - I was looking forward to doing it this weekend, but the whole area was still frozen and snowy. We could not do the hike, but snow capped mountains and the still frozen lake provided an amazing view.
I took this with my new Sigma 10-20 (+B+W Circular Polarizer), by the way - an incredibly sharp wide angle lens. I am extremely pleased with my purchase so far!
