Second shot in the series. I moved in closer to frame...mostly...the stones leading into the lake. This was first thing in the morning, thus the deep shadows. The reflection was fantastic this time of day and so a tricky shot.
The decision not to crop this down was a difficult one. I'd like to but I think I need to keep the stones in the centre of the shot, and some of the tree line to maintain context.
I haven't photographed them in a long time and getting used to it took a lot of patience.
In the end they gave me funny pictures.
Le amiche dell'estate alpina
Non le fotografavo da molto tempo e riprenderci la mano ha richiesto pazienza.
Alla fine mi sono divertito e mi hanno regalato foto carine.

Walchensee or Lake Walchen is one of the deepest and largest alpine lakes in Germany. The lake is 75 kilometres (47 mi) south of Munich in the middle of the Bavarian Alps.
This was the last evening of our short skiing stay in South Tyrol. We had 4 days of glorious sunshine, fantastic snow, ideal conditions for sporty winter activities and relaxation. On the left you can see the Schlern massif, which ends with the Santner Peak, which was first ascended in July 1880 by Johann Santner, a Tyrolean mountaineer. In the valley below is the beautiful village of Seis/Siusi and in the back the mountain range of the Merano and Vinschgau Alps.

When I stopped admiring the source of the Rhine and looked behind me, I saw these protected Alpine beauties, the large (5 - 20cm) Alpine asters! Not just one, but a whole bunch. I had to climb higher on a steep slope, but I absolutely wanted a good shot of them.
Beautiful alpine valley, little village wwith its beautiful alpine-style houses, nice holiday memory.

Grand Bornand, France, a winter resort in the French Alps (the Aravis range in the background), preparing for the season, I was expecting a deserted place, but the traffic was busy even in the off season.
I "only" got 2 error messages today while trying to post comments, sorry if my comments are brief, there's still a chance of them not going through because of flickr's problems.
It is always beautiful to watch the sunset at the mountains...
I have stitched 4 high resolution images for this panorama.
Es ist immer sehr schön, den Sonnenuntergang in den Bergen zu beobachten...
Ich habe 4 hochauflösende Bilder für dieses Panorama zusammengesetzt.

Lake O'Hara is one of the best-preserved places in the Canadian Rockies. It sits high in the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 2,020m (6,627 feet). It is a beautiful sub-alpine glacial lake surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. There are so many accessible trails starting right from the lake, hikers can easily spend days here without getting bored. But 11-kilometer to the lake in one way from parking lot, you can either take the shuttle or hike in. If you are lucky to reserve the shuttle, you can spare this 22-kilometer walking, save the energy to climb 10~20 kilometers mountains. Access to Lake O’Hara is strictly controlled with a reservation system, which means that it is never crowded.
Luckily got camping reservation for 3 days, it was pure nature without cell signals and electricity. Unfortunately, it was raining and cloudy most of time, plus the forest fire from Jasper, the sky was covered with foggy most of time. Here is the view of Lake O'Hara and adjacent Mary Lake, the crystal-clear lakes, hanging valleys, towering snow-capped mountains, and the pristine nature that shows the best Yoho National Park has to offer.

Poltenalm
This stormy day was amazing for photography. I captured this view from the Poltenalm in the Navis Valley. Tyrol in June 2020
Alpenmurmeltier (Marmota marmota)
Nicht so berühmt wie am Großglockner, aber nicht weniger schön.

Not as famous as on the Grossglockner, but no less beautiful.
It's good to see that these meadows in the Alps seem to be still intact. In the lower regions you hardly ever see a meadow with a lot of different flowers, due to enormous production pressure which leads to 5-7 cuts per year, which doesn't help bio-diversity...
