Oia is a scenic village on the north west edge of the Santorini island within the Cyclades. It extends for almost 2 km (1.2 miles) along the northern edge of the caldera that forms the island of Santorini, at a height of between 70 and 100 m (230 and 330 feet) above sea level. Immediately to the east is Phinikia), and about 500 m (550 yards) to the north is Tholos Amoudi Bay lies below the town. The small fishing village of Ormos Armen lies below Oia to the south and is reached via steps. There is a ferry connection to Therasia from the harbour village of Ormos Ammoudi (Όρμος Αμμουδιού; also spelled Amoudi) to the west. There are 300 steps down to the port from Oia. Talisker - The rock strewn marbled sand beach of Talisker Bay at sunset. A dramatic end to a day as the sun dips towards the Outer Hebrides across the Minch bathing the beach and all around with a spectrum of colours.

A quick break from birds....
Last week I uploaded an image taken from the opposite end of the bridge with the camera sitting on this railing. For this one, I used a tripod and captured the movement of people walking along the bridge.
In the background is the towering Crown Casino where the small time gamblers, young guns celebrating birthdays and high-rollers come to donate their money to the Packer family.
Winter can also act as an artist, with a lot of white and a little sun, it paints the most beautiful pictures.
