That was a very rare surprise here in the night from 23 to 24 December (and now it's already over again). I'm a little late:

I have to say I'll stand corrected. A discussion on line this evening prompted by Eddie Holden's shot of a Tees Port to Mossend freightliner had me stating that I recalled a rainbow at South Bank, but no trains passing at the time. It got me thinking, surely there must have been at least a passenger train so I checked my shots. I should have said there were no approaching freight shots when I was in the right place, just this train progressing view. The rainbow must have been about for around 15-20 minutes as we were willing an approaching train and during part of that period the Knowsley to Wilton waste train passed beneath us as it was heading towards Wilton, and about to go between Teessport and Lackenby as the rainbow 'shone' above the coke works. Due to the way the rainbow works we were on the shady side of the train.
The 'bow seemingly emanating from the name Dorman Long on the main tower and disappearing into the heavens where the coke works will soon be going. Is it a sign, or confirmation of the rumour this tower will be preserved?
I'm not into a modern type car, but a friend ask me several times to make a Speed Champion scale of his car, so there it is.
Usually, I don't do requests for buildings, but he is a cool guy, he hates everything except cats, I can relate to that.
