During our 3 days there over Easter, the conditions varied wildly from still fog, to driving rain, to complete clarity and reflections. This was a wet and windy dawn which lended itself to long exposures. Cradle Mountain is conspicuously absent in this shot!

Since the 1990s, large parts of the city have been refurbished, including the areas around the main railway station and the Maasboulevard promenade along the Meuse, the Entre Deux and Mosae Forum shopping centres, as well as some of the main shopping streets. This was taken quite a while ago when I drove past under the freeway overpass and discovered these abandoned couches. I decided to go back to the spot and walked up to these couches with my film camera hoping to catch a good angle of them with the towering freeway above. I think I am missing a model subject in there.

A quaint, picturesque old town nestled in a winter wonderland. The cobblestone streets, wind through the heart of the town. Historic half-timbered houses, their roofs blanketed in snow, line the narrow lanes. Twinkling fairy lights adorn the charming storefronts, inviting you to explore the local shops and boutiques.
