This is Dochie.

Me and Ali are frantic as he has gone missing.

I've been out looking for him, with no success and now just feel useless.

He is coming up for 8, a total sook and likes chewing long hair.

He is nearly all black except a few white hairs on his chest you see in this photo, and a white blob a couple of inches long on his belly, between his back legs.

He's wearing a red collar like in the photo.

He might have crossed the railway line and got lost, but I've been over by SDM and can't see him.

Now fearing the worst.

Kiera is missing him too.

Anyone else there remember how it felt to pick up your photos from the lab back in the days of film? I LOVE that anticipation, and have been missing it. So shot a roll of b/w film in the diani mini yesterday...taking them to the lab tomorrow to get developed and I am LOVING the anticipation

Picture from Gina, text from Sandra:

I’m very scared to make this announcement, but it has to be done:

Amelia, our traveling Blythe, is missing!!

Jen / The Brass Cupcake sent her timely and insured via USPS to Megan / Smeebot . Tracking states the package has been delivered on Monday the 8th, but where ever it was delivered, Megan did not receive Amelia.

First of all, there is nobody to blame except USPS. Jen has done nothing wrong, she has send Amelia correctly and is now doing all possible to make USPS find our girl!

Please keep in mind, that this could have happened to any of us hosts! I don’t want to get ahold of any drama, I understand if people are upset – we all are. If anyone needs to vent, please send me a private Message. As the organizer I’m taking full responsibility for the well fare of our girls.

What we have done so far:

Jen and Megan contacted USPS and filed an official claim. Unfortunately it does not seem like USPS will actively search for Amelia, as the package has been insured. We have to wait 21 days from the ship date before we can fill out the paperwork to be reimbursed on the insurance.

Though we still hope that Amelia will turn up, as this is the only thing we matter about.

If you are a future host:

Clearly, even if we find Amelia soon, there will be a huge delay of your hosting time. If we do not find her within one month, I will use our community fund to find a new base doll and let her send to Gina GBaby, who offered to customize Amelia’s sister too. Gina is very upset about this situation too, of course.

You can choose now: back out and get your contribution back immediately OR wait for new developments (you can leave the project any time)

If you already hosted Amelia:

I can not say anything regarding the ra’f’fle at the end of the project at the moment, so I would like to ask you to wait a few more weeks. I have to think about options.

What can you do to help?

Please keep an eye on the bay – in case she has been delivered to the wrong person it could be that the receiver is trying to get rid of her. In that case don’t overreact, don’t write to the false receiver and don’t write to the bay – we have to think wisely about next steps and don’t want to lose trace.

Thank you for your attention and help! Please download and spread this picture and message!

"Missing: 20,000 Items of Luggage" - The aftermath of the security alerts that put all hand luggage into the hold. As it's an Evening Standard headline please allow some leeway in the figure of 20,000.

This month G-A-Y are doing cocktails named after various Saturdays songs.

"Missing You" is loosely based on the current single, and contains vodka vanilla and raspberry schnapps, and Coke Zero.

We both liked it, more so than the song it represents.

Not until I had transfered my images to my computer did I notice that this Yellowleg that I had been photographing was missing a foot. I cropped the image to show the condition better. I'm happy to report he was feeding normally and seem content despite this loss...

This is on the side of the Broad Street Diner. I thought it might have said "Cocktails" at one point, but that would require the letter "I".

Missing boys were last seen playing in the Lory Student Center at Colorado State University. Sex slave traffickers often kidnap children, or convince families to hand over their children with the promise that their children will work in a factory to provide money for the family. In this photo I changed the curve and level settings, and increased the vibrance and contrast of the photo to give it a technicolor background. The technicolors represent the fun colors associated with childhood, and places where children play. I cut out the children that were in this photo to show that they were abducted from their innocence, stripped from their childhoods and places of play and their families. The rule of thirds discourages the subject matter to be directly in the center of the photograph, so I cropped out a pole so that the boys would be the focus. (crop, contrast, levels, curves, vibrance, cut-out)

this is the flyer of a young boy searching deperatly for his missing turtle charlie. you have to know that turtles are not common in germany ,-) and both facts seem heartbreaking to me. first that there is a helpless turtle running around in the cold somewhere and second the effort and love he put into his paper.

F-16s flew over the Gerald R Ford Museum while Taps was being played. They Flew in the "Missing Man Formation" meaning that in the last group, one plane broke off, leaving a gap in the formation. This photo was taken as the planes flew directly overhead the photographer. She had to look straight up to get this shot.

[365: the 2011 Edition]

Day 244/365 - 01/09/11

I've seen a poster of a missing cat (another one).

The purpose of this picture was to help somehow to find it, but: first, i am so late in the upload that maybe now it doesn't make sense anymore; second, even if i wasn't late, it seems more dificult to find this profile than find the cat; and last but not least, the photo was taken in a way that is impossibe to recognise the cat:(
