Missing from action for a little while, MP Travel's Wright Pulsar bodied VDL SB200 was at work on the X1 today.

This came from Proctors earlier this year in all-over white but has since gained MP Travel livery in the style of the Evora with a narrow white waistband giving a rather different appearance from the two ex-Lothian Wright bodied saloons which carry rather more white.

The Smoky Mountain's Foothills Parkway was first approved by Congress in 1944. Construction started in 1960. This week-end 1.6 miles of this road finally opened to the public. It has been known as "The Missing Link" because of environmental difficulties requiring bridges and the efforts/requirements to protect wildlife. While the Autumn colors are past peak the views were still stunning this morning.

The model whale (full size) is missing from his usual place in the Plaza at Lawrence Hall of Science. I was very unhappy about this until I read that he has just gone for a cleaning and refurbishment before being re-installed! :-)

Unlike most Dutch towns, Maastricht did not receive city rights at a certain date. These developed gradually during its long history. In 1204 the city's dual authority was formalised in a treaty, with the prince-bishops of Liège and the dukes of Brabant holding joint sovereignty over the city. Soon afterwards the first ring of medieval walls were built. In 1275, the old Roman bridge collapsed under the weight of a procession, killing 400 people. A replacement, funded by church indulgences, was built slightly to the north and survives until today, the Sint Servaasbrug.[

I don't think I ever noticed or knew that 3106 was missing the Rio Grande lettering below the headlight on the nose. Pretty odd, I think there were a few others as well.

The powercar has suffered a bird strike somewhere along the journey from the capital, it's strange how so many of the flying fowl actually seem to aim for plum centre of an HST, right between the lights.

I like to be as meticulous as possible with these things so having consulted Sir David Attenborough, Chris Packham, the RSPB, the Natural History Museum and Eric Cantona to identify the airborne assailant I can say with the utmost confidence that the avian antagonist is (or rather was) Columba palumbus - the Common Wood Pigeon.

Ironically, Hull's musical duo 'Everything but the Girl' had their biggest hit single with 1994's "Missing"- Ironic because in this image the dastardly Dove was missing everything but the Grill.

Thank you, thank you, I'm here til Friday, don't forget to tip your waitresses!

During our 3 days there over Easter, the conditions varied wildly from still fog, to driving rain, to complete clarity and reflections. This was a wet and windy dawn which lended itself to long exposures. Cradle Mountain is conspicuously absent in this shot!

If you move to California and miss the fall foliage, planting a few carefully selected trees can alleviate the homesickness...;-)

Little MINTY MIDDLETON ... has gone missing!!

She was last seen entering the HAUNTED HOUSE on 6th Avenue ...

Little Munchkin snapped this photo of Minty on her i-Blythe-Phone ... just as Minty was entering the HAUNTED HOUSE ... and just AFTER she accepted a drink from a stranger ...

According to Minty's fellow BFA Modeling Troupe friends who were out with her that night,

a stooped-over old lady in a black gown approached the group, and offered them a beverage ... which was reportedly more of a "potion" ... as, it was not only bubbling, but steamy !

... and immediately after drinking it ... MINTY just RAN INTO the HOUSE ... now KNOWN TO BE HAUNTED !! ... and she has not been seen since !!

The group reportedly THOUGHT they were at the FUN Haunted House on FIFTH AVENUE ... but apparently they ALL became disoriented and confused ... after imbibing who-knows-what-potion!!

(And no, she is NOT on eBay ... we checked!! hahahahahaa!)

Since the 1990s, large parts of the city have been refurbished, including the areas around the main railway station and the Maasboulevard promenade along the Meuse, the Entre Deux and Mosae Forum shopping centres, as well as some of the main shopping streets. A prestigious quarter designed by international architects and including the new Bonnefanten Museum, a public library, and a theatre was built on the grounds of the former Société Céramique factory near the town centre. As a result, Maastricht looks notably smarter. Further large-scale projects, such as the redevelopment of the area around the A2 motorway, the Sphinx Quarter and the Belvédère area, are under construction.
