An original 2-1/4 x 7 inch BW negative image of junk and weeds behind a house in upstate New York.

The camera was custom-made by the famous Marty Forscher of Professional Camera Repair in NYC for Simon Nathan who speciaiized in wide camera photography. Simon, a friend of mine, later sold it to me. It took 4 shots on a roll of 120 film, 7 inches wide and 2-1/4 inches high. All of my wide BW images from the 60s on this site were shot with that camera. I no longer own it, I sold it years ago.
Carol, this is dedicated to you. I await your return to good health and hope to see you before the butterflies return to our garden!

His ghost is everywhere, walking under our feet, crying for more kibbles, sitting beside the sliding door. From time to time I find Lou quiet and sad. He wants to get another kitten this weekend. "I need something to love" he said.
Climbing up is a challenge for everyone. Some of us would take years of climbing and never get to see the steps of life until you sit and take a moment of silence to absorb what the earth has given to us to survive. The structure is already made for us.
This is a piece I started while living in Houston for 2 months. As my dad's health declined, he started to lose his memory a bit. He began missing days. I finished the piece after he passed away. (SOLD)

Ollie has been missing for a week. We hope that it is "Spring fever" and that he has found himself a girlfriend. He is very much a homely cat and the most affectionate cat I've ever known. Ollie, we miss you. Find your way home.

A most unfortunate misunderstanding led me to miss meeting a friend. We had arranged to meet in this museum for lunch, but while I sat on a bench or strolled in the centre of the main concourse, she was waiting by the front door. Of course we both typed lots of texts telling each other where we were, but somehow none of them were received until hours later. Finally she got so cold at the door that she went home, while I ran out of time and had to leave.
The moral of the story is, do not rely on modern gadgets in case they let you down.
One of my messages attempted to describe where to find me, by saying I was beside a big dugout canoe. Actually it's not a canoe; it's a bowl for feasts, which holds up to 300 gallons. Next time we'll get it right!

I'm do wonder if the three missing panes in the side arch are as a result of previous volcanic departures of the Bulleid pacific as they are directly above the line away from what was then Platform 9.
The York-Harrogate-Leeds circle route was again in operation this year, comprising some 212 miles of steam haulage and ran on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

As soon as she landed in that puddle of water, away from the comfort of her old branch, the yellow leaf knew she wasn't that happy with the fall anymore... and started missing a home she would never be able to return to...
