yes, i attached a vintage canon lens to a leica and it appears i have the best of both worlds: canon and leica. it's a bit difficult to focus but when you get it right, it's sweet.

Carol, this is dedicated to you. I await your return to good health and hope to see you before the butterflies return to our garden!

another dreary day outside... another flowery memory from last summer to help me cope :)

This photo is dedicated to our Friend Edith, who passed from this life to the next one year ago today.. She was known in SL as Bitch2hunt4, but we just called her B. The original photo I took with B is here

Today marked one year since Ella's passing. My loving, snuggly companion and happy, cheeky, adorably sassy little miss :-) She lived her best life every day right to the very end and brought me so much joy and laughter. I love and miss you, my sweet Ella Bella Boo Boo.

I'm do wonder if the three missing panes in the side arch are as a result of previous volcanic departures of the Bulleid pacific as they are directly above the line away from what was then Platform 9.

The York-Harrogate-Leeds circle route was again in operation this year, comprising some 212 miles of steam haulage and ran on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Sorry I have been quiet lately - our 5 Grandchildren (2 - Six years old, 1 - Four yrs old and 2 - Two yrs old) have kept us very busy. Hopefully I will be back with more time soon.

Climbing up is a challenge for everyone. Some of us would take years of climbing and never get to see the steps of life until you sit and take a moment of silence to absorb what the earth has given to us to survive. The structure is already made for us.

Stella moments ,it's been far too long

A most unfortunate misunderstanding led me to miss meeting a friend. We had arranged to meet in this museum for lunch, but while I sat on a bench or strolled in the centre of the main concourse, she was waiting by the front door. Of course we both typed lots of texts telling each other where we were, but somehow none of them were received until hours later. Finally she got so cold at the door that she went home, while I ran out of time and had to leave.

The moral of the story is, do not rely on modern gadgets in case they let you down.

One of my messages attempted to describe where to find me, by saying I was beside a big dugout canoe. Actually it's not a canoe; it's a bowl for feasts, which holds up to 300 gallons. Next time we'll get it right!

The supermoon didn’t rise high enough to see it last night, but it did a nice job lighting up the clouds from below.

Hi dear Flickr friends, I have been missing you all, I want to visit your beautiful galleries soon ;)

Seen in eastern Washington.

The picture is about having a break, so needed sometimes, nowadays. Enjoy your life whenever you can.

A few years ago I used to get out and shoot one night almost every full moon with a regular group of nocturnal photographers. These days my schedule is a lot busier and I tend to do more sunrise shooting, so I don't get out at night as often as I'd like. I'm definitely hoping to change that this year.

This image is from the archives, from a car dismantler in Northern California. The collection of cars here is pretty incredible and they all possess such amazing personalities.

Analog night stuff. Straight out of the camera. Im very pleased with the colours, tones and the very very fine grain here. By mistake I shot the roll as ISO 400 though it was ISO 160. Luckily it didnt affect the outcome.

The piano inside Friend School was missing a black key. However, the piano still had a decent tone.

Most of the walls inside the Friend Schoolhouse still have blackboards. Chalk is available and visitors have posted their names and date of visit. I guess giving visitors a chance to leave their mark in a nondestructive manner has helped protect the school from vandalism.

Violette awoke in bracken and felt immediately somehow empty. She listened, but heard nothing at all. As she moved to stand, she saw there were beads of blood on her torn dress… her heart was gone

.

Luckily this happened to our only immortal girl, whose heart didn’t beat anyway… but who would do such a thing?
