We really had a wonderful relaxing week in the moutains. We loved our little chalet and there were no cars, no streets, no neighbors, just cows, birds and pure nature around us.

Everytime I think of you I always catch my breath

and I'm still standing here and you're miles away

and I'm wondering why you left

and there's a storm that's raging through my frozen heart tonight...

"Missing You!" was a number one-hit by John Waite in 1984, covered by Tina Turner in 1996.

Guess, who filmed the video of this song for Tina Turner? Yes, Peter Awesome Lindbergh :)

Check it out, he has a very unique way holding his camera.

One of my pictures taken by the end of last winter during a moody afternoon of fast changing weather. I opted for increased contrast and darkening to express the mood of the place as I remember it.

Although missing a few legs, this little one seems to be carrying on just fine.

The jumbo artichokes slipped away from the supermarket in the dead of night, as the stockers were busy filling the shelves, and left the back door open. No one noticed their hasty getaway. Once morning came the alarm went out and a search began. The following day they were finally spotted, holed up in a remote, unused building.

So, they were apprehended, and are now back and available to buy in the produce section. The Produce Manager is keeping a watchful eye on the wayward artichokes.

MISSING! Summer., not been seen for weeks. If you have any information relating to this don’t bother contacting me as I’ve jetted off in search of one.

My first but definitely not the last photo of the Milky Way.

The composition is not perfect, a dramatic object is missing in the foreground but I simply did not have time to search for a perfect scene for hours at daylight...maybe next time!

There were multiple factors to be taken into consideration to take this photo: check the moon calendar for newmoon (you can't spot the Milky Way in moonlight), look up the time when the Milky Way is rising above the night horizon, search for an ideal location on a light pollution map, select a night with low humidity and clear sky without clouds. All criteria to meet. Moreover, you need a special equipment: ultrawide-angle lens with extreme low-light performance (Samyang 24mm f1.4 aka Rokinon or Walimex Pro) )to gather enough light to show the stars and decrease digital noise, camera in full manual mode, manual focus with Live View mode at 16x magnification to the Pole Star, the making the composition. Despite the fact it was pitch dark and I could not see anything beyond 10 metres...the lens 'saw' much more. The light orange spots and shades are the lights of villages in the distance of 10-15 kilometres.(!)

That's why Namibia is the #1 sanctuary of astro photographers, with the Kalahari desert and highlands offering unbelievable clear sky view, hundreds of kilometres from any cities or villages.

If you like this photo, your faves, comments and observations are more than welcome!

IKEA- Collage Frame DROPS.

I got new inspirations from IKEA yesterday.

Sometimes, I am afraid to lose memory,

But some moments are fading....

And some are missing.....

Any missing piece from yours?

But I am still very happy to own all the wonderful moments@

IKEA带给我一个灵感,

我发觉自己有一些回忆已经开始模糊,

而有些已经忘记了,

你有否消失的回忆?

但我对于现在拥有的快乐仍然感到非常开心@

Today, I am missing you...tomorrow..it's another day :)

Missing are the upper stones, referred to as the capstones or topstones, "buck and doe," or "cock and hen." Usually, different craftsmen have their own individual ways of topping a wall; it's very much a matter of personal style and preference.

Trev came to the conclusion that someone had stolen them, as they were not in need of replacing and they were definitely in place a few days previous to this shot being taken!

Humanity has vanished.

I used to joke around that the house was Rocco's and I just lived there. Turns out that was pretty on point.

Fue un día nuboso y apenas se distinguía la línea del horizonte. Estos jóvenes inmigrantes, posiblemente llegados en pateras, jugándose la vida, descansaban en su incierto futuro.

149 seconds on the banks of Loch Achray, before sunrise on a very still and misty autumn morning.

Our landscape is changing so quickly now... Summer is just a faint memory.

Whilst autumn is a great time to be outdoors... there's only a few weeks left before we are plunged into the perpetual darkness of winter, and pretty soon I'll be back to being a weekend only photographer :-(

Time to make the most of it!

Miss You <– This came on my iPod while waiting on this shot to expose, and I couldn't think of anything more fitting.

Constructive criticism gratefully received.

The Oriental Lily opens a 6 petal bloom that can spread up to 20cm in diameter.

The height of the Oriental Lily can range between 3 to 5 feet.

Oriental Lilies tend to flower outside, in mid-season (July/August).

They are a long lasting and highly scented variety.

Sometimes, they just miss a petal and show us more!

Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

Oh, how I was missing this! A lazy morning, hanging around alone with my camera, finding places, meeting people!
