Hedgehog Puzzle Spice Shaker

The puzzle spice shaker is a curiosity that I was first made aware of when I started working for The Annapolis Pottery. From the research that I've done thus far, the first puzzle spice shakers were made in medieval times. If you look on my instagram, there's a video of me loading a shaker. With the shaker upside down, your favorite spice gets poured into the cone, and when the shaker is upright again the spice will settle inside the shaker. To get the spice out, simply shake up and down. This design is a great way to keep the humidity in your kitchen out of your salt, sugar, or spices.
