Macro Mondays - Ceramic (Wall Tiles)

For Macro Mondays theme; "Ceramics".
This little tea cup is the size of a shot glass, and was brought to this country by my German Grandmother around 1907. It is very delicate - yet it looks like a child's tea set. HMM to all.

hi friends. sorry I've been away so long. For those of you I havent been in contact with, my excuse is simply that I've been too busy between work and trying to make a romantic relationship work to keep up with things here. Sure I could've kept posting images but I never feel it fair to do so if I'm not able to view and comment in return.
I might just pop in a couple days a week for now just to stay in the loop. Thanks for your understanding.
A few years ago, an American woman and pottery instructor, during a visit to villages realized that many of the people of Africa do not have access to clean drinking water, so she co-founded “Safe Water Ceramics of East Africa” which now produces affordable ceramic water filters, a single one provides 5 years of clean, filtered water for one family. Here you see a representative of “Safe Water” showing villagers how the filters work and how to clean and maintain them. We provided filters for 6 families in this one village, with the promise of several more in the coming week.
For Macro Mondays' "Tape" theme. This is used in one sided welding. The ceramic portion is about 7/8" wide.

The piece is to hang in the history block of the school with a plaque mentioning all of the students involved .
The design depicts three of the allies, standing side by side facing out to sea. They arrived by sea and retreated back the same way as their campaign proved disastrous.
The largest soldier has angel wings and the sun frames his head like a halo.
The Poppies are vibrant symbols of remembrance and the foreground of grasses was created using shaped ceramic of greens and greys, to create directional flow and an impression of burnt earth.
A poignant tribute and a reminder of the unacceptable face of war that we're still facing today.
A song for all the Putins of this world ........................
This is a small ceramic dish with bird shapes cut into it. Looking beyond the holes through and above the rim is a crumpled piece of baking foil. I selectively increased the saturation and reduced the shadows in the foil.
Please see the previous image. Unlike the first image of this series, the object has changed (also made by Eleni-O'Hara in the 1970s) and the lens was switched to F8 or F11. The point of all this was to find out whether the Helios lens (2/58), a Russian vintage glass that works very well attached to my Fuji cameras, would also produce its charm on my Leica Mono. Please see for yourself. I believe that this combination is a happy one. Thanks to Joel Eve for this inspiration!
