There are about 500 species in Australia with about half of them yet undescribed.
I found these very hard to photograph because of their shiny shell, lots of reflections. In my Australian Woolly Bush!

so whilst I was getting comfortable with my new found friend a little bird (mavropouli ) came along and joined in the conversation. The stag was so much happier with our company. By this stage the sun came up and as I got closer I didn't need the full 300 zoom.

We finally got two days of milder temperatures. First it snowed then freezing rain. The temperature dropped drastically over night and now everything is covered in ice. Didn't seem to bother this little Downy Woodpecker. Can't wait for Spring!

Somehow I managed to get between the male and female coyotes in the cold weather. -2 degress, no wind and sunny. She went back into the woods and I hung out for about 15 minutes. I could see both the male and female pacing on either side of me just inside the tree line. Finally the female decided to catch up to the male and I got my photo op.
There were two families of geese at Miner's Marsh on Sunday....this family had the smallest goslings which were so cute. I had never been there before and would love to go back before the geese are too big.

照鳥這件事說好玩但也很辛苦!!! 鳥願意找你玩, 喜歡在枝頭上看你, 停留在美美的花枝, 或綠葉旁展露風情無限時, 拿起相機把牠照下來, 一再翻來覆去傻笑著看著這些可愛照片, 真是心情舒暢不知自己有多臭美!!!! 但碰到死也不肯合作, 又敏感又怕羞的鳥, 唉, 貢龜也就算了, 就怕遇到那種, 牠也不是不出現, 只是讓你看到時不是藏在樹枝暗處, 就是停在跟天上白雲握手的高度時, 讓你走也不是, 留下來跟牠玩躲摸摸又累得半死也不是......氣啊!!!040316
