This time, it is for my grandpa. Inspired by Lex Wilson

practicing some new (to me) tangles. Top one is not so successful, but the rest I am happy with, although I feel like it should be darker beneath tangled 'straws' (middle). Didn't want to totally screw it up though, so erred on the side of caution

Created on 9 x 12 paper using Pigma Micron and Sharpie fine and extra fine markers

Here it is with the colors inverted, just that one click of the button again, it's really just a negative ... I was suprized at how the colors changed to these pretty pastels! :)

Had some time to do a few more Dares - a late starter :). Sorry about the quality of the pics - not easy to take.

A few white highlights help make for some fun and funky puffy clovers on the "Lucky Day" piece.

(By: PLHill) This is my first Diva Challenge. It was to do a Zentangle with "2014" as the theme. I thinking turned out pretty good. Right now I'm enjoying coloring it!

My string gave me a fish shape. But who wants a mean fish??

today was a concerted, and conscious effort to not use a grid, (or plan)...just to do!!

pumkins embellished with tangled patterns

This was an odd shape - I didn't realise it only had 7 points until after I started doing one - then I remembered what Erin wrote on her Blogg - it was different than other templates. It was interesting to say the least - not really sure how I was going to tackle it - I ended up doing 3 very different looking Zendalas.

thanks for looking.

Even though I do love Henna Drum, I found it difficult to come up with anything other than a vine - I will have to play with it some more :) thanks for looking

I don't think I really got these patterns quite right ... I always, ck. out Leeann's work on Monday's because she is almost always the 1st to post her challenge pieces. I usually do a fast sketch of each pattern to go from , but last nite, I challenged myself to commit them to memory & sinse my P.C. is upstairs & my work space is downstairs ... that really was a challenge in it's self for me, ... If I head to the kitchen for a drink of water & stop on the way to do something else, I foget all about it & half an hr. later I think " Wow, I'm really thirsty! " :) ... Soooo it may be all wrong for the challenge , but I whipped it out fast & here it is anyway ... wanted to keep it super simple, because I'm working on alot of pieces at the same time! Done on 8 1/2 x 11 black cardstock with Galaxy " milky white " marker, prisma white pencil & colored pencils & white gel pen. :)

Inspired by the Zentangle® method of pattern drawing. Derwent Inktense and graphite pencils and black OHTO rollerball pens on 220 gsm cartridge paper. Three colours used: Burnt Orange, Deep Violet & Iron Blue.
