this is what I've been working on all night - I am very pleased with how it turned out. Isn't it interesting, after you upload, then something catches your eye! in this case I now think I should have placed some 'clothesline' or some type of crescents on the lower side of the flower! lol, thats just me.... i used dry water colour pencils.
Went up to my studio today to try & find some different paper to tangle on ... found a really old drawing pad that I had'nt seen in years ... this was inside with a couple of others ... it was about 90% finished , so I finished it up & here she is ... I started this piece at least 14 yrs. ago! ... Kind of wild & different from what I do today!
I love tatting (like crochet, but not) and use it in my stitched work all the time, so why not a tangle.
Had to do one in teals, just the B&W negative with color added & shown from yet a different angle, sometimes I just don't know which way is up! :) THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE SWEET & THOUGHTFUL COMMENTS! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
I put some paint onto paper and then drew what the dried paint suggested to me. All totally unplanned.

My first Official Zentangle Tile - I'm not sure if I like the texture, or maybe it was the Micron pen that was very fine, hence I wasn't able to create smooth lines :)

I pushed myself to loosen up a bit and not concentrate so much on filling in patterns and covering up all the white space inside the design.
Step by Step pattern 'X'
was trying to work out a simpler way of drawing my pattern 'X'
what I discovered was it does not have to be in the round and I think it lends itself beautifully to squares or rectangles.
I would love to see your creations :)
Thanks for looking.
Weekly Challenge #95: Guest Post - "Mickey Challenge" - Courtney Frantz
My 2nd entry in this week's Diva Challenge - a tribute to Mickey, Minnie or Walt Disney.
For this one I wanted to do a Dotle as a tribute to Mickey Mouse - here it is, in Black paint, then I used Verve in the background and coloured some areas with red gel pen.
Thanks for looking :)
Postscipt: Several people have asked about my Dotles so I have now created a set called 'my Dotles'. thank you for your interest. Oh I almost forgot, Pixieydust told me that Ellen Wolters created this method well, who knew :) Pixieydust has posted a link to Ellen's Blog below.
