Speech of a real leader in wartime
One of my cards with the most striking text about war. I don't think she would have gone to censorship but she traveled under letter and it's a officer who writes. This text speaks of the reality of war without lying. There will still be 4 years of conflict to endure. This officer worries about these men and does not persevere them just like objects which was unfortunately very widespread in the French army at the beginning of the war with unnecessary massacres.
If the name is well huijer I cannot find a match in the file of the dead for France.

The very dead Westland Mall in Columbus. It is one of four "directional" malls in Columbus, along with Northland (demolished), Southland (closed), and Eastland.
Built as an open air center in 1969, it was enclosed in 1982, and hasn't been touched much. It has one remaining anchor (Sears), two empty anchor slots (Lazarus/Macy's, and Penney's), and Staples as a junior anchor, which has no mall access.
If Westland is still open this time next year, I'll be surprised.

My camera strap broke today and it was the second to fail so far this year and both straps were expensive ... it was actually the metal elements that failed in both cases and that is worrying]. I have placed an order for a Peak Design strap and I really do hope that I can depend on it.
I visited the Botanic Gardens after lunch today because it was the last day the Sculpture In Context exhibition. I used my Sony 90mm Macro lens which was my first full frame Sony lens and it could well be the best that I have. However it can be a challenge to get the best results from it because my lack of skill.
Up until recently I have depended on online reviews and had developed trust in a number of reviewers but with the launch of Nikon and Canon mirrorless cameras I discovered that I could no longer trust many online reviewers because what they have started to do is not to mention specific issues associated with the products being review. For example they will pretend to have concerns about a particular camera not having dual memory card slots but avoid discussing serious rolling shutter problems.
There is another type or review that has become common and that is to compare two cameras [say the Sony A7III and the Fuji X-T3] and then conclude that the choice of camera is up to you.
Yesterday I attended an event organised by Sony and saw some amazing TVs that are actually less expensive than some of the Sony GM lenses that I intended to purchase during 2019. About a year ago, because of problems that I had with adapters, I decided to only purchase Sony GM an G lenses but unfortunately that could prove to be a very expensive decision in the long term. I will never pay Euro 11,000 for the Sony 400mm prime but I was considering the G 12-24, the GM 24mm and the GM 16-35mm lenses but buying them would cost about Euro 6,000.
Suddenly my life became much more complicated when Fuji launched the X-T3. I can purchase the Fuji X-T3 with an excellent lens and a grip for about Euro 2100 and while it may be a crop-sensor camera the Fuji lenses are much less expensive than the Sony Lenses and they are supposed to be excellent. As the Sony 16-35mm GM costs more than a Fuji X-T3 with grip and lens [which is according to all reviews excellent] I am willing to get the Fuji rather than the Sony 16-35mm GM lens which I can live without.
In order to save money I considered the possibility of getting some Sigma Art lenses [E-Mount versions] but while they are much less expensive than Sony lenses they do appear to have AF issues. I visited my local dealer and tried the Sigmas but decided to avoid them.
At this stage I will continue using and purchasing Sony Full Frame cameras and lenses but as an insurance policy I will purchase a Fuji X-T3 and purchase some of the better lenses.
I must admit that I am very interested in the Fuji medium format cameras but I am not certain that I an justify paying the price even though they are inexpensive compared to other brands of medium format cameras.

Just came up with an insight that I think might be rich for you. It's about the distinction between worry and reflection. So many thought leaders counsel us to avoid living in the past. "Live in the now," they advise. "Enjoy the moment." Well, I get what they are saying. But isn't there something good about going back and delighting in the delicious moments of the journey we've arrived from? Which brings me to worry versus reflection? Whether to revisit the past - in my mind - depends on your intention. If your intention and reason to go back into your past is to dwell on bad things and to worry over things you cannot change and to rehash painful times, then I suggest it's an unhealthy act. But, if your intention - in going back in time - is to reflect on the lessons events have taught you and to grow in wisdom and to savor the precious memories that you were blessed enough to experience well then I think it's good. I guess what I'm inviting you to consider is that it's a waste of time to fret and regret over things you've done that cannot be changed, but that it's a fantastic use of time to bask in the good times, feel gratitude for them and use your past to serve your future rise. ---- Robin Sharma

Lots of smoke coming from a Ferrari 288 GTO. The smoke went away after about a minute or so, but he got off at the next exit so I don't actually know what came of it. Fingers crossed...

A girl who works in the building just came back from a vacation in Guatemala and brought these worry dolls for me. It came in this little case with an instruction slip which reads:
"There is a legende amongst the highland Indian Village of Guatemala. If you have a problem, then share it with a Worry-doll. Before going to bed, tell one worry to each doll, then place them beneath your pillow. While you sleep the dolls will take your worries away."
If ever things start to get too much to bear, and the world gains three tons of weight and decides to sit squarely on your shoulders, the heaviness cannot stay forever. It's all temporary. Storms eventually pass. Turbulent seas eventually calm. So in the meantime, just breathe, and don't worry.
