I'm an optimistic worry wart. I usually believe that everything is going to turn out well, but I can become consumed with anxiety over not knowing exactly how things will turn out.
For example, Peter and I are about to go on a two-week vacation. Everything is well planned, and I should be able to relax. But I sit around worrying about how the cats will fare (fair? Tell me which is right, Minty.), if I have enough camera memory, if I'll have the right clothes, if, if, if!
To make matters worse, Peter and I are also attempting to make a big lifestyle change, that, if it works out the way we want, will be the best thing that's ever happened to us. However, getting to that point is a long, drawn out process with quite a bit of it out of our control. I'm very certain that we will be able to pull it off in general, but I have no idea what the details will be. So I worry.
I'm not sleeping much these days. This is also why I'm barely taking photos these days, either.
I kidded Jim Miller about his "baby boat". I've known him since 1975 when people besides my family still called me Tony. I called him Jimmie in response.
I create unique worry stones out of clay. These Symbols take away the need for words. These are offered to patients or family members at Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, that are anxious or grieving. The patients are encouraged to use these objects as worry stones to carry their fears and lighten their hearts.
Cutest little guy. He seemed a little sleepy but content with just chilling out while his owner was cleaning out the car.
