Here is something I made a while back and it's a great reminder that Christmas is a sad and lonely time of year for many people. It might be because of the loss of a loved one, the loss of a marriage, or the loss of a much needed job.
It might be because of worries about money with the pressures of shopping for gifts people can't afford and don't want to buy. It might be because of health issues where people are feeling pain and are too exhausted to interact with others. It might be because of expectations to attend social events where people don't want to go. I can think of tons of reasons why Christmas is hard for a lot of people. It's my hope that we'll all remember to be kind and sensitive to all those around us knowing that Christmas is a hard and sad time of year for many people.

We had said to skype yesterday. I waited an hour,emailed him, tried to reach him on his mobile....but no answer. Today we talked and he just forgot. I realized again that even far away worrying about a child will never go away.
Not to worry, my right stocking seems okay too. Or maybe you should help to do a more thorough check just to be sure?
Blogged. Most of the time when I worry about things that are out of my control, it makes me want to curl up and wrap myself under a lot of blankets and wish that the storm will pass soon.

Tweaking a little color correction, day/night detector and day Direct Lighting, it's too strong on faces and I have to reduce it a little.
Colors seem ok, maybe I will try some modifies after I'm satisfied with Direct Lighting.
Sometimes I try to activate TimeofDay detector but it's really too damn random to me :/
Any idea on how to preserve colors and tuning a little the sun? Is it too strong in your opinion? Every feedback is welcome!
Creases, bags, white hairs; things that can be covered up, concealed, yet never removed. They are a consequence.
So, I don't know if anyone noticed, but the past four images were showing the wrong date. I checked my camera and found that it was set a month off somehow. Anyway, I've fixed them now. Just a little disclaimer though, those four images WERE taken on the dates now showing.
On September 15, 2013, the Keokuk Junction Railway (KJRY) bridge over the Spoon River collapsed. Undermined by floods and old age, it nearly took out the engines...but thankfully didn't. A used bridge from an abandoned line in Texas was the right size for the river, and, despite heavy snow and rain which caused flooding, they managed to get the supports in and the bridge installed during the winter and spring that followed. Thanks to all the work to replace it, a clear gravel path now leads down to the river, allowing this shot to be possible. It won't last another few years, however, as it is already starting to get overgrown with weeds, and one side already is completely overgrown after being scoured by equipment. In any case, here's PREX 2041, leading two GP-20's and an FP-9 across the Spoon River, in Seville, IL, with 40 empty iron cars trailing..
As another aside, it's also Interesting that there's a liquor store 50' from the start of the west side of the bridge. Shrug.
