Born in 1959, Leszek Zegalski is a Polish painter. Leszek Zegalski's universe has a figurative style, with a predilection for nudes. Women play a main role in the artist's work: He represents her sometimes as from another time, dressed in a style from the beginning of the 20th century, other times with torn jean shorts, which classifies the piece as modern.

I got Annabelle some eyes, but I think they may be a tad too big for her. I guess I -do- have to look for 10mm urethane eyes.

Today I need to remember You are everywhere. I need to remember how much You love me. I need to know, Grandfathers, that You are always listening. Today I need to know how much You care. Today I will remember the advice of the Elders. "Say your prayers and then don't worry - know that the Great One has heard you." It's so much easier to do this, Grandfather, when I feel connected to You. My Creator, allow me this day to feel your presence. Let me walk the path of life today and talk to You many times. Give me faith, my Grandfather.

Don't Worry, Be Happy

From the Movie "Cocktails"

Performed by Bobby McFerrin

Here is a little song I wrote

You might want to sing it note for note

Don't worry be happy

In every life we have some trouble

When you worry you make it double

Don't worry, be happy......

Ain't got no place to lay your head

Somebody came and took your bed

Don't worry, be happy

The land lord say your rent is late

He may have to litigate

Don't worry, be happy

Lood at me I am happy

Don't worry, be happy

Here I give you my phone number

When you worry call me

I make you happy

Don't worry, be happy

Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style

Ain't got not girl to make you smile

But don't worry be happy

Cause when you worry

Your face will frown

And that will bring everybody down

So don't worry, be happy (now).....

There is this little song I wrote

I hope you learn it note for note

Like good little children

Don't worry, be happy

Listen to what I say

In your life expect some trouble

But when you worry

You make it double

Don't worry, be happy......

Don't worry don't do it, be happy

Put a smile on your face

Don't bring everybody down like this

Don't worry, it will soon past

Whatever it is

Don't worry, be happy

Bundan Celtic Festival

I recently did a project in which I asked my sons to describe, in one word, how living with diabetes has impacted their lives. I wrote that word on their hands and took their portraits. My word would be worry, but I worry too much and too often to fit it on just one hand. I have not slept through the night in 5 years. I never turn off my cell phone when I away from them. I am concerned that their future will be fraught with health challenges. I used to be as care free as any Dad can be, but now I just worry!

Trump and his minions do not have to worry about immigrants destroying American values and institutions.

Trump and his people are already doing a good job of that 24/7.

========================================================

I don't know what's worse: racism expressed in its rawest form by lynchings or racism cloaked in high-falutin' prose in the style of Pat Buchanan.

As long as the institutions of American constitutional democracy remain strong, and as long as we continue to hold the values rooted in the Constitution, the "race," ethnicity or national origin of people who call themselves American doesn't matter.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump and his minions, together with the Republicans in Congress, are eroding American institutions and values every day.

Trump and his people are waging a war on the separation of powers and on the Bill of Rights. They're also fomenting racist animus by creating a migrant crisis where none exists.

The Republican-dominated Congress has forgotten that it is a co-equal branch of government with constitutional obligations separate from those of the Executive Branch. Instead, Congress is acting as it were just another dysfunctional arm of the Trump administration. That is the price of handing the nation's wealth to the oligarchy though tax cuts that must be defended at all costs.

This deplorable state of affairs may in fact deter immigration, albeit unintentionally.

Unless the Democratic Party regains control of one or both houses of Congress and, eventually, the White House, would-immigrants will set their sights on other destinations because the American institutions and values that once drew people to these shores will have ceased to exist.

Lowenstark’s Log: Final Entry, Final Part.

So now, having fallen again, this time to my ACTUAL death, I pay up that bill. I give back the borrowed time. I fulfill what I knew I could never avoid.

And it’s most important to me that you all understand that I do so PROUDLY. I do so feeling like the luckiest man on Earth. Can you imagine had I died those two years ago? How things would’ve turned out. I can’t help but feel I’ve touched so many lives, and have been touched BY so many lives.

I can’t stress enough how upset I’d be if there were any lingering doubt, guilt, or worry at my death. I die knowingly, and I walk into the shadow now utterly free of regret or compromise – who gets to say that? My life, now, was wonderful.

I have compiled individual letters to those I knew, and have set them to delay. To lessen the blow in a few days to those who knew me… and as I asked before I took my last breath. All I ask is that you raise a toast to your old buddy Laz once in a while, and when you think of me, know that I got to die with my head held high – doing what I loved, in a city I loved, and protecting someone I loved.

We all have to die… its inevitable… but I died WELL. That means the world to me.

Thank you all, for letting me LIVE well. Thank you so, so much.

-Laz

Eamon Cale swallows hard. If there's a free hand to take, he takes it, curling his fingers gently around the big man's in turn. "Do ye believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth?"

Elise Capalini looks up at the new arrival, Luk, and she nods. "Seems so," she says softly, and looks back to Laz. She nods. "I'll find yours," she promises.

Nio gets here, finally, but she stands far away. She had to be here, but... if he's really... she can't bear to think it. But whatever is going on... it needs to be between Laz and Bianca. She just stands by, wiping the tears from her eyes, and restraining her urge to tear the slashbot apart here and now.

Lazarus Lowenstark clutches Eamon's hand, his other curled around the woman he loves. To Eamon: "I do." - then to D, he whispers, "Shh, it's okay. It's good." and turns back to Eamon

Portia Kass could barely see Luk through her teary haze, but she'd know his voice anywhere and all she needed was him to start hugging her for her to throw her arms around him, bury her face in his chest and sob. She couldn't stop long enough to answer his question and she didn't want to. She didn't want to tell him. Hearing Laz's voice just sets her off again, that much worse, that much more. She didn't want to believe it, yet every time he spoke it seemed more certain. Her arms shook as she clutched Luk.

Bianca Bender whimpers the noise quiet in the back of her throat...the words mumbled...snotty sounding from her crying, "But...but I didn't have you for those two years...barely a year...." sobs again and sniffs pressing harder against him as if she could go into him...anchor him to the earth from will of force alone..

Lukash Hallard: "we din'even get da chance ta drink that brew" he hums in a low tone, it may've seemed silly, but it mattered to Luk...a whole lot. the hauler keeps Portia close to his chest, nestling the girl in a tight comforting hug

Alric Bravin moved closer towards his fallen friend, his ears picking up on Lukash's words. No, it couldn't be true, he thought, his mouth opening slightly. The singed and broken being on the ground escaping his notice. He looked to Eamon, his brows furrowing deeply as the man began to speak. "What's he doing?" he asked in a low voice. I could save him, was the clear thought that drifted through his racing mind. It's not too late.

Eamon Cale's voice is suddenly gentle, a rasp whispered into the space between Laz and the priest alone. Elise might hear, Bianca would, above her anguished sobs. "Do ye believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead..." His voice catches. "And is now seated at the right hand of the Father?"

Lazarus Lowenstark nods slowly, "Yes, now I do. Now, I saw... I do."

Bianca Bender feels another hand..soft small...she'd clutch at it grasping...feeling...if by some chance she can take energy and force it into his body..but she feels it...his heart slowing more and more...with each breath he takes...her ear hearing the slowing pace as well.....

Eamon Cale smiles, rare and full of sorrow. "And do ye believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church..." How far they had come since that first meeting, when Laz hadn't believed in much of anything. "The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and... and life everlasting?"

Portia Kass couldn't do anything but cry. Eamon's voice.. cracking as he delivered Laz's rites... Laz's response... she felt like her heart was going to break. She pulled her face away From Luk's chest to look back at Laz, leaving a large wet spot on his shirt. One arm was still around Luk as she turned, and she lifted her bandaged hand to wipe at her eyes, the cloth soaked some tears, but new ones just came right after.

Elise Capalini wishes she could fix this--but she sees no way. She holds to Bianca's hand and gently touches her other to Laz's forehead, saying a silent prayer. She hears Eamon's hushed voice, the catch in it, and moves her hand from Laz, to him. Gentle on his arm, so they nearly made a circle around Laz; if love could keep him here, he'd be well kept.

Lazarus Lowenstark nods, face still peaceful, if tearful. "I do.." He says, voice coming in quick little bursts.

Darkness Odigaunt reaches out for his foot. There was no way this was actually happening.

Lukash Hallard pressed her against his strong body in a tight embrace, eh tried to remain strong for Portia...for all of them...he tried not to cry while hearing Laz say his last words...Luk hadn't even gotten the chance to know the man better, but yet he felt so close to him, like a brother...Luk cries to himself, low and lonely

Eamon Cale lifts his free hand and gently signs the cross on Laz's brow. "Then I baptize ye in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit..." His throat is so tight he can barely speak; his voice is a hoarse, soft rasp. Ireland. They had just come back. Laz in the pub, at the chapel, Bianca beside him... "Through the holy mysteries of our redemption, may almighty God release ye from all punishments in this life..." His voice breaks at last. "And in the life to come. May he open to ye the gates of paradise and welcome ye to everlasting joy."

Bianca Bender hears the words Eamon speaks..making it all to final...to real...she'd begin to chant...."no...no..no..no..no..no..no..no...." thinking god can't be good and just to expect this as payment for Laz's deeds of good....she'd begin to keen again the noise growing in her throat her entire being focused on the dying life beneath her.

Lazarus Lowenstark keeps those shallow breats, and as Eamon reads him his rites, the weight of the world does indeed start to lift. He'd devoted so much of his life since he was shown The Way to helping others, do breaking his back (now literally) in service to those around him and the community he'd called home. This release was... well, he was sure you only got to feel it once. And this time it was proper. He nods slowly, and looks at Eamon, "Thank you, Eamon. Brother.... Thank you for everything." And he squeezes his friend's hand, finding more than comfort there.

Lukash Hallard: "fuckin'Midian" is all he grunts while watching his friend go...he wanted to punch something till it was bent against his knuckles, someone had to pay

Elise Capalini gives Bianca's hand a little tug. "Bianca--" she wants to keep her anchored here, not have her fly off into a rage, not have her slip into that dark place hybrids often went. Feral? She didn't want to see Bianca like that...not so lost in her grief that it was impossible to find a path back. Her other hand tightens on Eamon's arm, her own anguish silent right now, tears running down her cheek.

Alric Bravin wanted desperately to bust through the circle of people, and stop the priest - it wasn't necessary! He could stop this...but there were so many people around. He closed his eyes, squeezing back a blood red tear that threatened to spill over. A low growl rumbled in his throat as he opened those unnaturally blue eyes of his, a thin line of red outlining his right eye. "NO." He said loudly, approaching his friend. Others be damned. He stood behind Elise and looked down at Laz. "Laz," he rasped out. It had to be some sort of joke. "You can't..."

Portia Kass replaced her other arm around Luk, hugging him tightly to try and stave off the shaking. It didn't help much. Every time Laz's voice came out it was a little weaker, made it a little more real. Bianca's words... like a mantra as if denying it over and over again would bring him back. She wished with every fiber of her being that it could. Her teeth gritted against the bitter sting of all of this and she just squeaked another feeble "Oh... Laz..." through her tears and finally turned away again to bury her face in Luk's side once more.

Bianca Bender feels the tug at her hand she'd lift her eyes to Elise's but not her head they are red swollen now...the tears a steady flow down her face she'd whimper..."Elise....oh god...Elise...."

Darkness Odigaunt squeezes her eyes closed, small fingers wrapped firmly around his stabbed foot as she tried as hard as she could to keep him here, didn't he understand? He wasn't allowed to go.

Eamon Cale squeezes Laz's hand hard, as if he might keep him there, with them, just a wee bit longer. But he's going--as priest he has sat at far too many bedsides of the dying not to recognize the dimming of the light in Laz's eyes. He can feel Elise's hand on his arm, anchoring him in reality, and it fecking hurts. God, my God... it hurts. "Thank ye," he says to Laz, whispering it soft. "Thank ye... for being my friend. Go with God, mate. We'll see each other again. Never doubt it."

Lukash Hallard cradled Portia lightly, a hand running up and down her hair with a comforting touch while he kept his good eye trained on the fallen friend "I know...I know" he hushed to her in a whisper...deep down the fact was...he didn't

Lazarus Lowenstark keeps Bianca as tight as he can get her, and he puts her face in one of his hands, "Bianca. Yes. Yes it's happening... and yes it's okay. Live free. Live well, and don't let your heart get weighed down for ME... I'm luckier than all of you, now. Trust me." He kisses her forehead, slow, eyes closed. Then to Alric, sudden realization coming to his eyes, "Alric... my friend. You are a good man. I need you to be okay with this too... and the answer is no. It's my time. This is my time, I owe it, as I leant it." And to Eamon's statement: "We will see each other again... I know we will."

Bianca Bender cries more...her face a damn wreck of emotion she'd lean up and press her lips against his as he finishes speaking to Eamon just resting there...feeling his short breaths....feeling his life draining swirling into nothingness and feeling helpless to stop it... to help him...her tears run down the salty taste mixing with the familiar one that is her Laz.

Portia Kass's hands tightened on Luk's shirt, hugging him tight for a moment and then letting go and pulling away. She moved closer, just over Eamon's shoulder. There was something she had to say to him. She swallowed hard and tried to control her sobbing. Her eyes strived to meet Laz's as she stammered, "I.... I think... I'll miss... you... most of all...." But she was dissolving into tears again a moment later. She was sure he would know what she meant.

Elise Capalini meets Bianca's gaze and nods. She can only imagine what this is like for her--imagines it all too well, in fact. She drags in a shaky breath, still holding tight to Bianca's hand. She won't let go of Bianca or Eamon--she can hold to them, they aren't going anywhere...but Laz. She looks down at him...and smiles. "We'll see you again," she whispers. "We will."

Lazarus Lowenstark coughs, and lays his head back. "Sister D... Be at peace. I am lucky. I'm sorry about the Pop Tarts.. and don't blame yourself for this. If it hadnt' been you, it would have been someone. If it hadn't been that robot, it would have been another monster. It's okay. It was my time. My destiny. Portia. Be strong... sorry we never got to hang out any more. But be strong. Don't lose what makes you good... and Luk, I'll kick one back with you in heaven. So earn your way there." He chuckles, but winces, and starts to get very sleepy.

Lukash Hallard: "we's gunna'ave us sum heavenly brews when I get there bub!"

Alric Bravin opened his mouth, but closed it when his friend addressed him. How had he...? All he could do was nod - there was no use in arguing. He knew his friend well enough to know that when Laz made up his mind, he made up his mind. "Goodbye, Laz," he said quietly, staring down at the man. It was painful, knowing full well that he'd never see him again - there was no comfort in an afterlife for him. "Goodbye." Once again, his eyes close, and he turns to the left, his chin tilting down towards his chest. He could hear Bianca's cries, her tears, and those of the people assembled, ripping his heart, or what was left of it, apart.

Portia Kass just nodded her head vigorously at Laz. She would be. But right now... there was no way that was happening. She couldn't be strong through this, not even hearing him laugh. That was almost worse... it made it seem like things would be okay. She turned back to Luk, seeking the comfort of his hug again.

Darkness Odigaunt lowers her head down to his feet, body shaking with sobs, "S-sven didn't die... You're not going to either." She squeezes her eyes closed, "We're going to watch that movie when you get out of the hospital."

Lukash Hallard sweeped Portia back to his arms, he hushed to her sobbing and craddled her some more "he's gunna be alright toots dun worry" he hums, kissing her forehead lightly

Lazarus Lowenstark still strokes Bianca's hair, his heart torn for her most of all. "I know you will, Elise... go... go back some day. Have kids. Be happy. I'm glad I got to take you there. All of you." He closes his eyes body starting to slack, "Be good people, all of you. That's what is important. Be good people... be strong... and..." he starts to nod off, "And kick one back every once in a while for your old Laz...." Then his breathing stopped, and all that was left was a body with an oddly contented smile on it's face.

Lukash Hallard broke down in tears, his whole self shaking while he cried silently, strong arms tightly wrapped around Portia now

Bianca Bender feels the breath leave his body a final time a broken noise of pure pain escapes but she's here...she's herself...she'd kiss him again...one final time and lay her head beside him and sob as she holds him...laying across his body almost now sheltering him...as if she can protect him now as she wasn't able to...wasn't here to help him when he needed her...

Eamon Cale closes his eyes. He squeezes Laz's hand once more, still warm for now, despite the life that's departed from it. Then he gently folds that broad hand over Laz's chest. "Goodbye, mate," he says softly. His voice is thick with sorrow. "Ye were a better friend than I deserved."

Portia Kass didn't answer him, she just let herself be held and kissed and comforted. She was trying to stay relatively quiet so she could hear Laz when he spoke, tears were running in semi-silent streams down her cheeks. She looked back again... looked back in time to see that he was gone. She just shook for a moment and then turned back to bury her face in Luk's chest and hug him tightly. The man's bulk only muffled her cries a little.

Elise Capalini hands tighten on Bianca and Eamon both and she exhales as Laz's eyes close. If they'd come sooner...maybe....she'd told Bianca Laz was captain of the watch...could handle it... She looks down the length of his body to Sister D, wishing, oh wishing they had gotten here sooner. "Safe travels," she whispers. To Ireland, she thinks, but no--tonight...someplace farther.

Daily Dog Challenge: Expression

“A clear horizon, nothing to worry about on your plate. Only things that are creative and not destructive. That’s within yourself, within me I can’t bare quarreling I can’t bare feelings between people. I think hatred is wasted energy. It’s all nonproductive. I’m very sensitive. A sharp word said by say a person who has a temper if they’re close to me hurts me for days. I know we’re only human, we do go in for these various emotions, call them negative emotions, but when all these are removed and you can look forward and the road is clear ahead and now you’re going to create something. I think that’s as happy as I would ever want to be.”

I - Interviewer

S - Sharidan

I: It's nice to see you Sharidan!

S: The pleasure is all mine!

I: So let's talk about your experience in BTNM.

S: Okay, what would you like to know?

I: Well.. How was it of cousre? Haha

S: Oh! I feel so embarrased now, I'm so sorry! Haha. It was great! One of the most wonderful things that I could have ever experienced!

I: That's great to know! Now, how did you get along with the other girls in the house?

S: I didn't really interact with any of the other girls to be honest, I just sort of kept to myself. I did however become friends with Emma half way through the competion wich was a surprise to me, because I thought she hated me. xD but I was obviously wrong.

I: That's also great! We've heard that there was a girl in the house that may or may not have hated you, would you care to explain?

S: Sure, Well I had just gotten first call-out for my 'Disturbia' Photo after being in the bottom two the week before with my "Wind-Swept' Photo, and I had felt great about it, until one of the other girls, Ariiana, started saying that I didn't deserve my placing, which I took as an insult and it really lowered my self esteem.. but I didn't want to really talk about it around the other girls, but a couple of weeks later Ariiana, Emma, and I had gotten into a huge arguement over the call-out for the 'Floral Royalty' photoshoot and I kind of let what I was feeling slip out, I sort of lost control, and started blurting out stuff that I would never usually say, and I felt horrible about it..

I: Interesting! Have you and Ariiana worked everything out? and what about Emma and Ariiana, are they alright now?

S: It's kind of hard to tell, I think Ariiana and I are alright now, but I can't really say much for Emma, you'd just have to ask her herself.

I: Ah, I see. Well now I think it's time for the question everyone has been waiting for, How did it feel when you realized you had won, and became BNTM?

S: At first I didn't believe I had won, I stared at the screen in shock for like 5 minutes, and then it hit me, and by it I meant Emma! LOL! But don't worry it was just a friendly punch in the arm, although it did leave a huge bruise.. o.o

I: Haha! That's great! So how are you and Emma? Still Friends?

S: Yes we are! We've been contacting eachother online, and by phone, we plan to meet up soon and do something fun! :)

I: Awesome! Well that pretty much wraps up just about everything. Congrats on winning BNTM!

S: Thank you so much, and thanks for having me! :)
