This is a new woodworking bench that is constructed from reclaimed wood and wood from a previous worktable
This picture was taken when they were incorporating different ingredients into the mixing bowl. They were also looking at the weighing scale as they were adding the ingredients in.
I wanted to create a different perspective, to break away from the normality of taking "on the ground" shots. Also, their bodies are used as a symmetry and balance with both of them facing at a particular angle, across one another.
The symmetry also enables the imaginary line between Zahirah and her student, to allow viewers to visualize the contrast of the amount of ingredients on the silver worktable.
I made edits to the photo by increasing the exposure and contrast as the photo was dimmer despite slowing down the shutter speed to 1/10.

My nice neat hobby table. This is the last it will be this neat this year. Modeling season is about to start. On the table are 2 cars I started last Spring. They will become 1:20.3 EBT outside braced steel sided box cars.
Cheery sunporch off Bedroom 4 with a view of the yard and garage. Relax with a cup of coffee or sketch at the built-in worktable.

Working in my Restraint Journal, making simple collages using inspirational images from online and bits & pieces from my worktable to make interesting compositions using white space.
It is made to accommodate a second shelf below, but I wanted more room for my buckets and bags of potting soil. The kit was $65 with free shipping from Amazon and the wood cost me $1.99/2x4x8 (I used 6), and two 5/8"X4x8 plywood at $17/sheet for a total of $48. Not bad. The table is extremely sturdy.
Workstations are equipped with all the necessities, including tips or reminders on painting the pieces.
Damn sticky paper plates!! You want just ONE and you have to 'peel' it off from the stack. This year, I smartened up and brought a HUGE plastic container, and my sidekick and I peeled the plates, like you see in the photo, and placed it behind my worktable. This way, all I have to do is reach and grab.. No 'peeling' plates when the hungry Zombies are coming!!
The bracket on top is what will be used to build the back shelves. You can choose whatever height, you can have two shelves with the brackets provided. According to the directions, you have have up to an 8' long shelf that will hold 1000 pounds. I'm planning on using these to build the shelves in the basement.
