Also got two awesome work tables, each 5' long by 30" wide. 10' of awesome workspace with lights above is so welcome! Hunter likes it.

Aw man, I shot the side with mismatched screws! I ran out of deck screws and used some cabinet screws instead.
Our fogon, firewood and a worktable make from scavanged wood, fill the small outdoor kitchen space with its scrap metal partial wall.
Built from reclaimed marble, recovered by reuse action (reuseaction.com) from a lavatory renovation in one of the Buffalo Public Schools. It was a stall partition, so a close inspection shows who loved who, and all sorts of school age nonsense scratched into the marble. We cut it down to size for the customer and left the markings in the marble as part of its charm. The legs, undercarriage and mounting brackets are all made of reclaimed house trim. The marble installed originally in the 1920s, most likely by Italian immigrant craftsmen. In this city the old wood work was done by Poles and Germans, while the stone work was done by the Italians. crafts they brought from their home countries. Without rescuing this material it (and its heritage) would be in the landfill.
Each piece we build is unique and imbued with history...and keeping materials out of landfills.
Wednesdays are difficult crafting days for me -- I'm only at home for about an hour before bedtime. However, I did manage to cover these 3 ATC bases with foreign language texts. These are going to become my cards for the Textures, Layers, Glazes, etc. swap on ATCards.com. Just as soon as I find time to work on them. :) Also, I'm testing out that gold arrow on the green heart card. I'm not sure..... I think maybe that card needs stitching.
In other news, I took this picture with the "landscape" setting of my camera. It turned out far better than pictures of the same tableau with the "portrait" setting -- I'm going to have to get out the little book that came with the camera and figure out the differences between those two settings and see what I can learn from that.
Crafting 365, day 16.
This is what my work table looks like after I've stayed up late and gotten up early to get ready for a day out selling my jewelry at local companies. It probably doesn't look so bad in the picture, but it feels really messy and chaotic when I'm sitting right in front of it. (Can you spot the snack?)

Myself and Nicolar Bell were invited alongside a bunch of other artists to run workshops for their Cathedral launch night.

I'm bored with my blog not being updated! Not to say I don't have one milion and four things to do but whenever I find a "window of opportunity" I'll run to my worktable and try and accomplish something from my "after Christmas" list. This isn't supposed to go up till the 26th but I want to amuse myself ;p Seafoam czech glass beads, polymer clay lentils and deep green aventurine rondells for spacers in certain sections. Approx 30" from end to end.
Duel rear cameras, one shows the long view down the road, acting as a rear view mirror, and one shows the rear bumper/worktable in detail when backing up.
$50 / 240 TJS -- Finished broad worktable for crafts, computer work, etc. Spread out and organize your work.
I was planning on leaving this here, but have instead decided to put it on the back wall next to the other work table that was in the garage when I bought the house. It will keep it neat looking and will make it so there is nothing in the way of the door on the side of the garage.
I designed a cabinet to be a combined storage and workspace for the AV team (of which I am a part) at the local UU (Unitarian Universalist) Fellowship. Zale and I built it together.
It was very satisfying to see something go from an idea in my head to a real functioning thing. And it was fun to work so closely with Zale on it.
