No crossing gates on this rarely-used intersection. The Garden Mitchell secondary, formerly the right of way of the Central Railroad of Long Island, is used for storage, and rail movements are few and far between. Cars zip behind a slow-moving work train as it barely clears the crossing.
taken by a dear friend about a year ago. i love this picture-technology meets manual labor, black meets white(literally and figuratively).

Trinity Church, Wall Street
The church has undergone extensive cleaning and repair work in the interior and exterior. Updated wiring, electrical systems and all controlled with 21st Century technology. Seen on a tour as part of Sacred Sites Open House Weekend by the New York Landmarks Conservancy. Estimated completion of the project should be by the end of the year.
The church was consecrated in 1846 and designed by architect Richard Upjohn. It's the third building on the site. Trinity's history begins in 1697, the original building burned in a great fire during the American Revolutionary War.
It's great to dress smartly for work, yet it's lovely to come home on Friday looking forward to a whole weekend of easy dressing.
Today I was allowed to do a little office work for my wife dressed accordingly. I really wish I could help out as a real secretary at an office for a few days. Is anyone interested?
Heute durfte ich mal ein bischen Büroarbeiten für meine Frau im Kostüm erledigen. Ich wünschte, ich könnte mal für ein paar Tage als echte Sekretärin in einem Büro aushelfen. Hat jemand Interesse?

Was in Hong Kong for a wedding and decided to shoot with two themes; first Hong Kong "working"; 2nd Hong Kong at rest.

CP kept pretty busy with track work in the yard at Sault Ste. Marie and also the branch over from Sudbury. The rail was light compared to CP's mainline but as a COFC corridor this line was fairly well maintained. Four axle power was the rule and C-C units were pretty rare. 911 arrives at the west end of the yard with 4234, 1806, 4227 and 115 cars on June 18, 1983. New ties are scattered about for use on some of the yard tracks and switches.

Being free to work in a simple shift dress is a wonderful treat! Most of all when it's such a beautiful fit.
The Natural History Museum in London is, to my eyes, the most beautiful building in the UK. This is worth viewing large on black.
