Cappuccino with a stroopwafel. Love this place, good cappuccino, inspiring music… No reading today, no empanada, just meditating about this morning smiles, thinking of the past times, 1991. Salsa fanatics we were. Listening to the same music, dancing on the street, being latino mediterraneo with a Dutch twist.

I happened to be passing through Winnemucca, Nevada during their Music and Murals festival, 2025. I was disappointed that I was unable to stay until this piece was finished. I also was able to find a sign or any indication of attribution.
Cross Country liveried HST power car, 43384 heads over Newport Railway bridge. The bridge was in the process of a major renovation in advance of the masts going up at the time, but there is little evidence of men at work in this shot.
When I need that extra little boost during the work day, all I have to do is turn my chair around to see this.

I have seen this great old Mustang. I'm overwhelmed by this great design, for me a work of art!

Theo van Doesburg, pseudonym of Christian Emil Marie Küpper (born August 30, 1883, Utrecht, Netherlands—died March 7, 1931, Davos, Switzerland), Dutch painter, decorator, poet, and art theorist who was a leader of the De Stijl movement.
Originally van Doesburg intended to pursue a career in the theatre, but he turned to painting about 1900. He worked in Post-Impressionist and Fauvist styles until 1915, when he discovered Piet Mondrian’s work, which convinced van Doesburg to paint geometric abstractions of subjects from nature. His paintings, with their strict use of vertical and horizontal shapes and primary colours, closely resembled Mondrian’s until about 1920. In 1917 van Doesburg was instrumental in forming the De Stijl group of artists, and he also founded the avant-garde art review De Stijl (a publication that was continued until 1931).

I came across this cordoning off some footpath work at the top of the steps leading from the beach to the Naze Tower at Walton. Check out the effect created when moving this picture up and down quickly with the cursor keys.

The photo is about a worker who works in a brick field. A brick field is a place from where bricks are made from burned mud. Here the person is carrying mud for burning them for making bricks. Here the person and the chimney both are wearing red & black.
No, I am not talking about the walk of this worker. I am talking about the life of them, born > work hard-harder-hardest > die :(
How unlucky they are :( ...
