Not the best HDR i have done, but this was a hand held 3 shot job poking the lens through a gap

Had to take some self portraits for an article about my night shift; this is one of the results.

Working seven to five everyday

Up in the morning drives me crazy

What a way man to make a living

It's so boring but nothing to do

I'm dreaming for a much better life

Even though we have to work for money

If you call money the big evil

Back to work on the Monday morning

Spending some time on the Oregon coast working on my beach photography skills.

Between the shorter days and regular work at the autoport L516 is seldom seen in the daylight here these days. So it was today by the time they got here. It was a really nice night so when I heard them preparing to switch the siding I went out to sit on the deck and watch. There were 10 empty tie cars to retrieve off the siding, I watched them go about the pickup in the dark. Once they backed down the main the headend lined up precisely with the backyard when they made the joint. I figured it was worth attempting a shot with the power spotted so well. I grabbed the camera out of the house while the conductor was walking back up to the point and set up the Canon on the seat of the old Allis Chalmers B, trying a few test shots. It wasn't long before the conductor climbed up and settled in to update his paperwork. A minute later the highbeams were back on and L516 back underway for Stevens Point.

The photo is about a worker who works in a brick field. A brick field is a place from where bricks are made from burned mud. Here the person is carrying mud for burning them for making bricks. Here the person and the chimney both are wearing red & black.

About 10 or 12 years ago.

Got home from work and there was still light. Grabbed some fruit from the kitchen and shot these in my patio. probably spent 20 min. playing around. I didn't touch my camera all of last weekend so I guess I'm finally pulling my head out of the ground. LOL

The sole remaining train that still sports a caboose. Although the B&B gang still use a caboose they need the company work train to move it from location to location. On occasion if they don't have too far to travel the B&B crew will move their cars with a locomotive crane.

The Southernmost Tip of Africa Prayer Centre was never open when I was in the area, so I never worked out exactly who ran it or what it was all about. It is in the little town of L'Agulhas about 1½ km/1 mile from the southernmost point. I photographed it mainly for its thatched roof.

The beavers have been doing work along this creek. This Mallard is stepping over one of the slight dams. You can see the head of the male down in the lower left, who has already gone over.

The brick factory work is seasonal and the employment is contractual, utterly insecure and wage is piece-rated. Though man & woman workers comprise about one-half of the total workforce in every factory, they hail from the families that survive by working as labourer in every conceivable sense; they are from lower caste and class.
