Two in the sea - Dos en el mar
Mar Mediterraneo
Mediterranean Sea
The etymology of the Mediterranean Sea comes from the Latin Medi Terraneum, which means "sea in the midst of the land." Most of the inhabitants of its shores have used a name derived from Latin. Greek language is called Thalassa Mesogeios with the same meaning as the Latin name in Arabic is called al-Bahr al-Mutawāsit and Turkish Deniz Ak ( "White Sea", as opposed to the Black Sea, as the Turks call it "white" South and "black" to the North). To the Egyptians was the "Great Green."

It's hard to say I'm sorry
It's hard to make the things I did undone
A lesson I've learned too well for sure
So dont Hang up the phone now I'm trying to figure out just what to do
I'm going crazy without you
You're all I ever wanted
This is the Owl that we bought in the Airshow - its wings weren't half flapping in the breeze today despite the sunshine and warmer weather than of late.

Don't let the day end
without growing up a little,
without having been happy,
without having increased your dreams.
Don't let disappointment overcome you.
- Walt Whitman -
On our way back from Alaska we travelled 36 hours without lodging so that we could get home in time for a family funeral. We drove until the cloak of darkness started to play tricks on us. We had seen many bears foraging in the ditches for the last few hours. A little unsettling, and even more so, after our experience with the Grizzly. We were, after all, literally, in the middle of nowhere, travelling on a desolate highway with who knows what could go running across the road! Deer, moose, caribou, Bigfoot. The possibilities were endless! No gas stations. No lodging. No towns. No cell service!
We saw a pullover and parked. My husband fell asleep immediatly. I tried, but my imagination got the best of me. I could not succumb to the much needed sleep. Bears were one thing, but it was the a knock on my window from an alien that I kept anticipating. My husband slept like a baby as I wrestled with every imaginable scenario!
A few agonizing hours later, the early morning glow allowed us enough light to bid goodbye to our short stopover. We started up the truck and drove in awe, surrounded by the magnificent scenery - leaving the Aliens, far behind us!
"Gone, thought I lost my mind
Creature without a spine
Took back what should be mine
Thrown in the deep end
Trouble, I gained a voice
I’m not your shiny toy
Left me without a choice
What were you thinking?
Dig my grave
Take my blame
There’s no love lost
When I’m the strong one
Never changed
Gone astray
There’s no love lost
When you’re the wrong one
I’ll never be the same
Locked in your misеry
Needed some room to breathе
Cut ties so easily
I’ll be my hero
Grasping for sanity
Won’t be your casualty
Done with this apathy
I’m back from the dead
Dig my grave
Take my blame
There’s no love lost
When I’m the strong one
Never changed
Gone astray
There’s no love lost
When you’re the wrong one
I’ll never be the same
I’ll never be the same
Never, never, never, never gonna give the power back to you
Never, never, never, never gonna give the power back to you
Never, never, never, never gonna give the power back to you
Never, never, never, never gonna give the power back to you
Dig my grave
Take my blame
There’s no love lost
When I’m the strong one
Never changed
Gone astray
There’s no love lost
When you’re the wrong one
I’ll never be the same
I’ll never be the same
I’ll never be the same"

Without Color by no means implies without life. This photo, as with so many others, was meant to share the subject’s beauty on merits such as light, contrast, composition, depth and shadow. Ansel Adams’ work reveals unanticipated beauty in the absence of color. We can feel beauty and tease our senses in ways never really perceived of until his B&W works took the world by surprise. I do feel that certain works show better in B&W. Technology today helps most photographers, regardless of their skill level, to experiment with even their finest work. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be kind. Keep shooting and experimenting. Mask up and go have fun

Without means to escape the looming bloodbath, her demon orb came levitating with a flick of her finger. "I guess a fight is inevitable," she said in a somewhat calm voice as the orb started to glow bright red. "I hope you're ready to perish. Don't worry... I'll do it fast and painless... /hopefully/."

The Guma Lagoon is part of the vast Okavango Delta wetland. The delta is a huge triangle measuring 250 x 150 km. Yet it does not flow into any sea or ocean. It mostly simply evaporates into the hot Kalahari Desert of northern Botswana along a fault line. From a Fujichrome slide taken in 2005.

Without a couple of thick slices of toasted multigrain wholemeal bread and thick spread butter my beans on toast would be nothing!! 😊 Happy Macro Mondays.

Paracetamol comes to the rescue !
I like the distortion in the reflection, I used plastic that had been used for wrapping flowers.

Sad to say, Lolita passed away today. Without her, I would have never met Iwona ( long story about a feisty cat that got away from Iwona and moved in with my parents for a while). We often said she was the architect of our relationship, but we also just called her Mamma because two of our other cats are her babies.
Bye Bye Mamma, your big innocent eyes, baby doll face, and sweet disposition will be missed.

Standing on the platform, watching you go
It's like no other pain I've ever known
To love someone so much, to have no control
You said, "I want to see the world", and I said, "Go"
But I think I'm lost without you
I just feel crushed without you
'Cause I've been strong for so long
That I never thought how much I needed you
I think I'm lost without you
Strangers rushing past, just trying to get home
You were the only safe haven that I've known
Hits me at full speed, feel like I can't breathe
And nobody knows this pain inside me
My world is crumbling, I should never have let you go
I think I'm lost without you
I just feel crushed without you
And I've been strong for so long
That I never thought how much I love you
Standing on the platform, watching you go
You said, "I wanna see the world", and I said, "Go

Memorial to the Sinti and Roma of Europe murdered under National Socialism, Berlin, Germany.
www.stiftung-denkmal.de/en/memorials/memorial-to-the-sint...
In 1992 the Federal Government decided to erect a national monument in memory of the murder of the European Sinti and Roma persecuted as “gypsies”. The memorial of the artist Dani Karavan consists of a fountain with a stone that can be lowered and on which a fresh flower is placed every day. In addition, panels provide information on exclusion and mass murder of this minority during the National Socialist reign of terror. The memorial was ceremoniously opened to the public on 24 October 2012.
About 500.000 children, women and men were murdered systematically for rascist reasons.
The metal frame of the water bowl contains the poem »Auschwitz« by the Italian Roma musician, composer and university teacher Santino Spinelli. In German and English, it lines the lake. On the fringes of the chronology, it can also be read in two different dialects of the Romanes:
Sunken in face // extinguished eyes // cold lips // silence // a torn heart // without breath // without words // no tears.
