I read a lot in web forums about beauty dishes and most of the issues about using speedlights in beauty disches were about the different charakter of the light between speedlights and studio flashes. So I thought it could be a way to change the speedlight character a little bit into studio light direction by adding a cone in the inside of the deflector. The prototype is just made of cardboard and silver foil, but to me it looks like that it works. I think the beautydish looks brighter. The two pictures (with cone / without cone) were made with exactly the same settings. I think, that the shape of the cone will have an effect of the character of the light. Maybe this little experiment is usefull for you.

"A horse with no name", "Ventura highway", "I need you", "Tin man", "Don't cross the river", "You can do magic", "Lonely People" e "Sister Golden Hair", alcune delle loro hit mondiali riconoscibili al primo accordo, che, oggi come allora, sono inevitabilmente nelle playlist di qualsiasi radio in giro per l'etere dell'universo.
Segue "I need you", un altro grande successo.

Ocelot ... male named Santos
Leopardus pardalis
The ocelot requires habitat that supports a plentiful prey population and provides cover from which to hunt prey. Unfortunately, suitable habitat is disappearing and being divided into small patches. Mortality on roads that cut through habitat also poses a major threat to ocelots. Creating safe corridors between patches of habitat will be essential to a future in the wild for the ocelot.

Illinois has been without a state budget for a year as rightwing Governor Bruce Rauner and his Republican allies demand cutbacks in social programs and public pensions while launching attacks on unions.
The lack of a budget to properly pay social service providers has caused suffering among the state's most vulnerable residents as programs have been cut back and even closed.
His demands have been met by widespread opposition and a stopgap temporary budget which allows some expenditures was finally passed the day of the June 30 protest.
Action Now and other community organizations boarded CTA trains that day and held impromptu meetings with riders asking them to support a state budget that would include important social programs . Groups opposed to Governor Rauner called for progressive taxation of corporations and the wealthy, as well as the closing of corporate tax loopholes.
Activists rallied at the state office building in downtown Chicago and then marched on Chase Bank demanding the bank renegotiate toxic credit swaps which are draining public finance at a time of severe social crisis.
Then, as now, traveling without baggage was a red flag, though for different reasons. Then, it might have suggested you were on the lam from the law or were a sketchy sort for other reasons.

Without microscopic examination, it's hard to identify many Inocybe to the species. This pair was growing in association with birch trees. Each mushroom has a "white foot" at the base of a non-bulbous equally sized stem and a faint spermatic ("bleach-like") smell, stronger when crushed. The cap is covered is strings of fibrils. Cap cracking is common in this genus.
Without the green bits fortunately.. although this colour without all the instagram filtering was pretty shocking lol, and how I manage to look no older than 16, I'll never know :-/
Some time ago, I shot a whole roll using my Mamiya C330 and Mamiya-Sekor 55mm wide-angle lens. Due to a shutter fault (ie, it wasn't opening at all at the time*) the pictures on the entire roll and half of the following roll (until I switched lenses) all turned out identical. Here's an example.
In this particular one, I find it interesting how this spurious feature has had an equalising effect on the different subject matter. The occlusion of any original information about the photograph at the point of taking causes a complete lack of metadata. What we know about a photograph - the extra information outside of the photograph (such as the photographer, the time, the place) - can affect our perception of the photograph itself.
Here, we have a total occlusion of intra information, within the photograph, which in turn prevents us from forming distinct perceptions regarding the way I originally shot these photographs. Even I've completely forgotten what the original subjects were, and when and where they were taken. Thus, I'm finding it quite difficult to sort out which ones are the good ones and which ones aren't quite so good, such is the strong effect of the information occlusion on my perception of the photographs.

Without a doubt, I think my very favourite thing about Chicago is the lake. It's just amazing how close to it some of the buildings are. I forget to whom I was speaking (or maybe it was on a photo here), but someone said something about how the city often seems so close that it might literally fall into the sea.
Without Eyes is an audio-sensory performance that employs verbal storytelling as a means to convey the potential possibilities (and limitations) of the written word.
Eight performers will read the same story through megaphones while sitting in a circle. Listeners must relinquish their sense of sight to participate in the event, where they can walk into the circle of readers and experience a chorus of voices from different vantage points within the circle.

I took this photo on April 5th which was "A Day Without Shoes". I'm not sure how big of a deal it is, but I know it's promoted very much by Toms shoes. If you're unfamiliar w/Toms, I suggest you look down at people's feet from time to time b/c they're everywhere! LOL!
I didn't know anything about Toms at first until a couple of my classmates last yr. were wearing some and I really liked them. I looked into the brand more and found that they're pretty cool! For ever pair of Toms purchased, they give a pair of shoes to a child who doesn't have any. It's a pretty cool thing. So the "Day Without Shoes" thing is so that we can experience what it's like to not have any shoes by spending one day not wearing any shoes. I couldn't participate in this, unfortunately, as I have classes where I'm handling heavy things and must wear certain shoes to protect my feet. ^^; I can't really even wear Toms to one of my classes b/c they're not safe.
But anyway, I know Toms are a sort of trend or fad now or whatever, but I don't care. I really like them. And, unfortunately, sometimes the best way to do good for a charity is to make something that becomes a popular trend. :p But I don't care b/c my Toms are awesome and comfy. ^_^ And Amelia here really wishes there were Toms for dolls b/c she would totally wear them. Stavi pensando: "E' bollito, quello lì"?
Me lo ha detto il fantasma che lavora per me,
uno fra i mille infaticabili guerrieri
vedermi scorrere finito, cadavere;
continuo a farmi molto bene i fatti miei
Continuo avanti direzione "fatti miei"
e sui tuoi soldi risparmiati troverai
la mia corrosiva indifferenza.
Senza trofei sei tornato in città,
Sai: ti potrebbe venire a dire
che questa canzone non riguarda altri...
riguarda te, te, te, te.
Ora mi vedi, bello? Sono sempre qua
avvolto nella mia stilosa dignità
continuo a farmi molto bene i fatti miei
Continuo avanti direzione "fatti miei"
e sui tuoi soldi risparmiati troverai
la mia corrosiva indifferenza.

ACATLAN DE JUAREZ, JALISCO, MEXICO - JULY 07: The mass death of thousands of fish in the dam El Hurtado, left without a livelihood to about 30 fishermen and 19 restaurant owners, as well as their families, so that most continue shops still closed due to the strong odor coming from the dam is a serious source of infection for visitors usually arrived, on Sunday July 7, 2013, in the municipality of Acatlan de Juarez, in the western state of Jalisco, Mexico. The economic impact of the spill molasses left the dam El Hurtado, and caused the death of at least 500 tons of fish (mainly tilapia, catfish and crappie) in the community of San Pedro Valencia in Acatlan de Juarez, home about 380 people, will also be reflected in the activity that encourages tourism and fishing in the area. According to environmental authorities at least 8,000 tonnes of molasses would have reached the dam El Hurtado, after traveling more than 12 kilometers through a flow, from the town of Tlajomulco de Zuniga to Acatlan de Juarez. Experts say environmental issues more than two million liters of water with the dam which currently can recover lost oxygen over a period longer than two years, so that this natural disaster is one of the biggest ecocide in Jalisco history. Authorities of the three levels of government work hand in hand with dozens of volunteers to support families affected by the delivery of provisions, food preparation and sanitary brigades to prevent the spread of disease and reduce both the strong impact of the tragedy among the population. Nothing About Us Without Us Is For Us was a public art event using obsolete technology to hurl language across Glasgow's River Clyde. Organised and conceived by artists TS Beall and Matt Baker, the project commissioned 15 artists to partner with 18 local organisations. Together, they delivered 6 weeks of activities, culminating in an event on Saturday 28 April, 2012 where over 1500 people sang, shouted, and sailed across the Clyde. Visitors to the Glasgow International Festival were invited to the Govan waterfront to participate in transmissions using human megaphones, siege engines, string-and-cup telephones, messages-in-bottles (‘The Govan Armada’), choral serenades, and more…
