Theodore Roosevelt insisted that he would never have become president if not for his time as a rancher in North Dakota. These foundation stones are all that remains of his Elkhorn ranch house.
While the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt is easily accessible from I-94, and the North Unit fairly accessible from two US highways,, the Elkhorn Unit is remote and poorly signed. Reaching the ranch site requires a short, level walk so that you experience it without visible roads, vehicles, or oil development.

My dreams are so vivid and complex that sometimes they stuck in my mind all day long. I still wonder if we actually dream when we think we are dreaming or if we live the dream for real in another world or dimension maybe.

I thought perhaps you were missing seeing this guy. He has moved from the top of the flower to hanging on the leaves of the flowers, still in the same general area. He remains unfazed by my presence with my big black thing in his face.

I came across this interesting artwork during my recent visit to Sydney and thought the old and the new looked cool. These sandstone blocks, embedded into the Tarpeian Way near the Royal Botanical Gardens, are relics from demolished buildings and structures such as Pyrmont Bridge. It was installed in 2000 by Japanese artist, Kimio Tsuchiya.

En el Siglo XVI, el embajador austríaco en Turquía Ogier Ghislain de Busbecq, quién además era un floricultor entusiasta, vio tulipanes cultivados en Adrianópolis. En 1544, cuando regresó a Europa, trajo consigo algunos bulbos a los Jardines Imperiales de Viena. Décadas más tarde, en 1593, Carolus Clusius dejó su trabajo en los Jardines Imperiales para tomar un cargo de profesor de botánica en Leiden, Holanda. Clusius, llevó con él a Holanda una colección de bulbos de tulipanes que crearon un gran interés y entusiasmo. Entre 1610 y 1620 en Francia y para 1634 en Holanda, el entusiasmo por cultivar estas plantas bulbosas se transformó en una verdadera fiebre conocida como "tulipomanía".
In the sixteenth century, the Austrian ambassador to Turkey from Ogier Ghislain Busbecq, who was also an enthusiastic flower grower, saw tulips grown in Adrianópolis. In 1544, when he returned to Europe, brought some bulbs at the Imperial Gardens in Vienna. O Convento da Ordem do Carmo de Lisboa localiza-se no Largo do Carmo e ergue-se, sobranceiro ao Rossio (Praça de D. Pedro IV), na colina fronteira à do Castelo de São Jorge, na cidade e Distrito de Lisboa, em Portugal.
O conjunto, que já foi a principal igreja gótica da capital, e que pela sua grandeza e monumentalidade concorria com a própria Sé de Lisboa, ficou em ruínas devido ao terramoto de 1755, não tendo sido reconstruído. Constitui-se em um dos principais testemunhos da catástrofe ainda visíveis na cidade. Actualmente as ruínas abrigam o Museu Arqueológico do Carmo.
É possível que a ruína do Convento do Carmo e do vizinho Convento da Trindade, aquando daquele terramoto, esteja na origem da expressão popular "Cair o Carmo e a Trindade".

The Carmo Convent (Portuguese: Convento da Ordem do Carmo) is a historical building in Lisbon, Portugal. The mediaeval convent was ruined in the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake, and the ruins of its Gothic church (the Carmo Church or Igreja do Carmo) are the main trace of the great earthquake still visible in the city.
The Carmo Convent is located in the Chiado neighbourhood, on a hill overlooking the Rossio square and facing the Lisbon Castle hill. It is located in front of a quiet square (Carmo Square), very close to the Santa Justa Lift.
Nowadays the ruined Carmo Church is used as an archaeological museum (the Museu Arqueológico do Carmo or Carmo Archaeological Museum).

El Convento de la Orden del Carmen de Lisboa se encuentra en una posición privilegiada, al lado del Rossio y con inmejorables vistas al Castillo de San Jorge. La iglesia del convento, que era la mayor iglesia gótica de la ciudad, quedó en ruinas debido al Terremoto de 1755 y es uno de los principales recuerdos del desastre que asoló la capital portuguesa. Actualmente, en las ruinas se encuentra el Museu Arqueológico do Carmo (Museo arqueológico del Carmen).

Une splendide exhibition de montgolfières à Polignac en Haute-Loire.
Plus de 50 montgolfières ont décollé au pied de la forteresse pour composer un ballet dans le ciel, qui a duré plus d'une heure compte tenu du vent très modéré de cette journée quasi printanière !

A splendid exhibition of hot air balloons from Polignac in Haute-Loire.
More than 50 hot air balloons took off at the foot of the fortress, to compose a ballet in the sky, which lasted for more than an hour, given the wind was very moderate that day almost spring !

Eine herrliche exhibition ballon zu Polignac in der Haute-Loire.
Mehr als 50 ballons starteten am fuße der festung zu komponieren, ein ballett, in den himmel, die dauerte mehr als eine stunde in anbetracht der wind sehr moderaten tag fast frühlingshaften !

Una espléndida exposición de globos de aire caliente a Polignac en la Haute-Loire.
Más de 50 globos de aire caliente se inició en los pies de la fortaleza, para componer un ballet en el cielo, que duró más de una hora, dado que el viento era muy moderado, ese día casi primaveral !

Een prachtige tentoonstelling van hete lucht ballonnen te Polignac in de Haute-Loire.
Meer dan 50 hete lucht ballonnen vertrok aan de voet van de burcht, voor het samenstellen van een ballet in de lucht, die duurde meer dan een uur, gegeven de wind was erg matig dat de dag bijna lente !

Più di 50 palloni ad aria calda, tolse ai piedi della fortezza, per comporre un balletto in cielo, che è durato per più di un'ora, dato che il vento era molto debole, quel giorno di quasi primavera!

Uma magnífica exposição de balões de ar quente para Polignac, em Haute-Loire.
Mais de 50 balões de ar quente tirou de ao pé da fortaleza, para compor um balé no céu, que durou mais de uma hora, dado que o vento era muito moderado, que dia quase primavera !
