Lion Rock
Hong Kong
Lion Rock or Lion Rock Hill, is a famous hill in Hong Kong. It is located between Kowloon Tong in Kowloon and Tai Wai in the New Territories, and is 495-metre high.
Lion Rock is famous for its shape and is visible from various places in Kowloon; its resemblance to a crouching lion is most striking from the Choi Hung and San Po Kong areas in East Kowloon. A trail wends its way up the forested hillside to the top, culminating atop the lion's head. The rock provides a beautiful view of the city and Hong Kong Island in the distance. The entire hill is located within Lion Rock Country Park in Hung Mui Kuk, Tai Wai and is made passable by vehicles by Lion Rock Tunnel, which connects Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai.
When I took the landscape photos, they came into the scene. It maybe called that I was in the right place and they were at the right time.

Founded at a time when photography was only beginning to secure a foothold both in museum collections and in the art market at large, A Gallery for Fine Photography is a living landmark in the history of photography. Located in the Historic New Orleans French Quarter, A Gallery opened its doors in 1973, a world away from the cornerstones of the global contemporary art scene. Thanks to the staunchly independent vision of its founder, Joshua Mann Pailet, A Gallery has remained a haven for photography, from the earliest photographs to contemporary pieces. Over more than four decades in business, A Gallery for Fine Photography has established itself as one of the most respected photography galleries in America – one that has flourished despite an ever-changing art world by remaining true to itself and Pailet’s unique perspective.
Joshua Mann Pailet is a documentary photographer and gallerist who has been one of the most significant figures of the photography community in his native New Orleans for forty-five years.
The occasional surfer and walker are unaware of the meteorological sideshow moving towards the southern Gold Coast. Coolangatta viewed from Tugun Surf Beach.
For a brief moment, the landscape reveals what is usually hidden.
High above the Ahr valley, the ruins of Saffenburg rise from a sea of fog. What emerges is not a castle alone, but a fragile balance between presence and disappearance, light and silence.
This series is not about chasing spectacular spots, but about patience, timing, and being present when the landscape decides to speak. Photohiking means walking with intent — slow enough to observe, focused enough to recognize the moment.

“When photographing women, we have three paths: photograph them with the "male gaze” ; photograph them as "photographer eyes” and photograph them as "poet feeling”. I always try to be the three ...” by Old Roger
When your home is over two hundred years old or more, you are aware that your own presence here is transient and that one day, new people will call this their home. Leica M8, Elmar 4/135 at F16. This is my first shot with this vintage lens where I have got the focus right. It feels really good!
⭐️Thank you in Advance for your kind ‘Faves’ Visits and Comments they are so very much appreciated. 👍
I wrote you letters, kept them neat,
In drawers where old regrets repeat.
I should have called, I should have stayed—
But silence grew, and plans decayed.
The clock hands mock my futile wait,
You’re gone, and now… it’s all too late.

Age creeps up on all of us. Don't hesitate do it now.
Before it's all too late.
Mid Devon Show, 2025.
When I design something, I usually send it to Jamie to get feedback and to make sure that I haven't made any glaring mistakes. In this case his response was simply "It's true." to which I responded "Have we met? Hi, I'm Bridget, and I do not require schooling on nerds."
When and where and only if
seen and captured
in its essence and soul,
by the eye or better by the camera
there is the chance to share.
When the lens focuses, the world around fades away. The gaze becomes the essence, details emerge, and light dances around the curves. This portrait was born from an experiment: capturing the soul in an artistic blur, where every pixel seems to vibrate under the effect of a new angle. It’s just a test, but sometimes, experiments reveal unexpected beauty
This winged lion represents Saint Mark the Evangelist, patron of Venice, in the statue outside of the Venetian resort in Las Vegas. As the sky darkened it was turning very strange shades of purplish blue. Here's a companion photo taken earlier that same day: flic.kr/p/2ozEYV6.
When a sunrise steals your breath, say nothing. Just close your eyes and think about it.

When the sun dropped and lay like a golden ball, in that light every branch of the tree drew up high and pointed.
When walking in this good quality rainforests, I saw lots of males and females of Euphaedra medon. Basking with wings wide open, they sometimes stayed on the small sunspots from lightbeams coming through the forests, either on the leaves of the bushes or on the ground.
The male and female of Widespread Forester have beautiful and different colorations and markings, a good example of sexual dimorphism of this genus.
As the common name suggests, they are widespread in Africa, ranging from Senegal through Tanzania.
This male displayed attractive metalic colors under the sunlight, glittering in this silent and vibrant afternoon.
