I wasn't able to get that great of a shot here these are the wings I made winter quarter 2007 in my welding sculpture class. I'm pretty Jazzed.

Neal and I went out for a night on the town. Or I should say a night shooting the town. We set out just before sunset to shoot some long exposures using welding glass and then moved into the city after midnight to shoot the city lights and waterfront.
This shot was taken with a piece of 14 stop welding glass strapped to the end of my lens. Very long exposures are achieved with this kind of rigging. Although your image is green SOOC, you can adjust the white balance with software.

If you look carefully, you can see I didn't quite get the weld beads fair; i.e. there are little pits below the level of the plate.
I might pick them up with the TIG tomorrow...
I felt compelled to fill the holes in the spade plate, as that's exactly where corrosion would start. In my opinion, large holes in a spade blade look crude, too.
