Preparing replacement parts to be welded in where we've removed corroded steel is a royal pain in the butt. Getting the edges of the cutouts straight proved difficult and shaping the replacement pieces even more so.

Weldments created in SolidWorks can now be analyzed using more efficient beam elements. COSMOSWorks will automatically define the structural members as beam elements, derive beam cross section from solid geometry, detect the joint conditions, and read loads/supports applied to the weldments and transfer them automatically to beams.
