--Here's the new 4-axis CNC mill that's giving us fits. At least now it's all in one 'package' thanks to the extension that I welded up and bolted to the cart. Now all the wiring is tidy and only one plug is needed to get everything going.

Found in a vacant trade school: A 1942 Jam Handy instructional filmstrip on the delicate art of welding aluminum tubes.
These images were taken in a welding garage, owned and run by Jim Vowels. I was trying to capture the essence of his work shop. He doesn’t just do welding, but many other things relating to cars and there mechanics so there are many, many things in his garage. I hope that I have caught some of the more unusual objects, and views of his shop, as it really inspired me and I loved taking pictures there.
I have been using a tripod to take more images recently; these are some I have used with it. This is because I find it slows me down. Hen I use it, I think about the image more, and the angles etc. also it acts as a way of remembering your last thought, as it doesn’t move, but if u go away and come back it tells you what you last were thinking. Again my photographer influence is still Jeff Wall.
