Weldments created in SolidWorks can now be analyzed using more efficient beam elements. COSMOSWorks will automatically define the structural members as beam elements, derive beam cross section from solid geometry, detect the joint conditions, and read loads/supports applied to the weldments and transfer them automatically to beams.

Before and after welding plus when I refitted the exhaust system I belted (clamped) the bits that joined up, I believe there should have been clamps on there..! ?rusted off!!

Anyway all good and a 38 mile test happed shortly after!!

A large 1" bevel being welded by yours truely. I use a 3/32 flux core wire on this.

Everyone huddles 'round to see just how much damage a red-hot (electrified) poker can do to a steel plate.

Watch out for slag drips, Mr Sandals.

--Here's the new 4-axis CNC mill that's giving us fits. At least now it's all in one 'package' thanks to the extension that I welded up and bolted to the cart. Now all the wiring is tidy and only one plug is needed to get everything going.
