This is the welding cell that we sent to the show this year. You can\'t see it, but there is a 2-axis positioner just below the robot. We aren\'t allowed to do any actual welding at the show, but we do have the robot moving around and simulating a weld.
Cathy called out, "I've got a dinky dark goose." I knew it was gonna be good. Note the glossy bronzy breast, a mark shown only by Aleutian and minima Cackling Geese. Notice the wing covert pattern, which is very rarely seen in Canada/Cackling Geese other than minima. Area high school students competed in the inaugural Carl Sandburg College Welding Competition held May 18 in Building G at the Main Campus in Galesburg. Teams from Galesburg, ROWVA, United, Monmouth-Roseville and Galva competed in the event.
I collected the frame and cycle parts in my van and could see then that welding was needed.I sat in my van outside the blasters and called my friend Auther he was a mobile welder and offerd to be at my house in 15 minutes! He was there and ready before I arrived back home!!!!!

TYPES OF METAL WELDING
MIG WELDING - GAS METAL ARC WELDING (GMAW)
MIG Welding (Melt Inert-Gas Welding) is a welding method that uses the molten electrode and the external inert gas (Ar or He) as the arc medium and protects the metal droplets, the welding pool and the high-temperature metal in the welding area.
TIG WELDING - GAS TUNGSTEN ARC WELDING (GTAW)
TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding), also known as non melting inert gas arc welding. TIG welding is the most commonly used welding method whether in manual welding or automatic welding of 0.5-4.0mm thick stainless steel. TIG welding with filler wire is often used for backing welding of pressure vessels, because the gas tightness of TIG welding is good and can reduce the porosity of the weld during pressure vessel welding. The heat source of TIG welding is DC arc, the working voltage is 10-95 V, but the current can reach 600 A. Workpiece is connected to the positive electrode of the power supply, and the tungsten electrode in the welding torch is used as the negative electrode. The inert gas is generally argon.
STICK WELDING - SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING (SMAW)
SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) refers to manual arc welding, which is an electric arc welding method using manually operated welding rods.
SMAW uses welding rod and workpiece as two electrodes. During welding, the workpiece is locally melted due to the high temperature and blowing force of the arc. Then an oval pit filled with liquid metal is formed on the workpiece, and this pit is called the molten pool. With the movement of the welding rod, the weld will be formed after the molten pool cools and solidifies.
