I'm a looser at "winning"
Maybe it's because I only have Hello Kitty blood instead of Tiger blood!

I placed Francesca on a towel on the log so as not to ruin her beautiful dress. I took an extra photo from the same position without Francesca – or the towel – to layer in Photoshop so that I could remove the towel.
The lantern had a head torch inside and I added some extra glow afterwards in PS.
The book (appropriately named FOREST), had an LED studio light hidden inside shining on her face, and again I added extra glow in PS later.
I also added some stars and star dust and finally added a glow in Nik Efex Pro.
Went out of my comfort zone and tried nonrepresentational. There are probably about 3 paintings under this one. Then, for more fun, threw in a little house at the end. If you want to see my color matches they are on my flickr. Push feedback welcome
The faces ofPNCA students, staff, and faculty during Spring Focus Week, 4/29/14-5/2/14. Photos by Micah Fischer '13.
Strobist info: Canon 580exII at 1/2 power 50mm zoom with a DIY grid above camera left, triggered with Radio Popper JRX. Lumopro 160 at 1/4 power 24mm zoom with a Rogue Flash Bender camera right, triggered optically.
Note: This is the best set I've used so far. However, it's costing us a pretty penny since it's real. :(
Maxed out the ISO to bleach out the gray stucco the sun is hanging on, and try to relay the heat of the day!
Week 2
So as promised, here it is! week 2.
This is a picture I’ve always wanted to do, ever since I got my flash. I never have well… because I’m lazy and, “later” always seems to run away from me. Well later, take that I’ve finally caught up to you. Lots of time on your hands does that to a girl. I’m pretty pleased…. it’s basically how I thought it would turn out. Though the me with the hair down could have looked a little more like I was trying… eh oh well.
So the whole idea with this is fighting yourself… everyone has internal battles I’m sure of it. It could be as simple as what you want to wear (like my favorite jacket in the photo), what you want to eat, where you want to go to school, or what friends you want around. Life is full of tough decisions and those choices make us who we are. Never regret something you’ve done because it’s what makes you who you are and what you know. You learn through success and mistakes, it’s all important and it’s what keeps us always changing and growing. Experience.
Well that was a bit off topic :) ~Enjoy!
My sister is a collector. She's arty, creative, visionary and quirky. Her house is decorated with all things retro and vintage. Everywhere you look there are interesting bits and bobs that she has picked up or created. This scene is from one of her living areas. I picked this because pattern is repeated so well here. Behind this are large windows that allow you to look out over her deck, tall poplar trees, back paddock, gardens and the river. It's a sun trap and one of my favorite places to sit and ponder.
Abandoned was a very popular week in the original challenge. For the advanced challenge tell the story of something forgotten.

Week #42 - Abstract
This sits on my desk at work and I love the way it catches the light coming in the window.
This week's subject was leap... I didn't want to do a Jump. I wanted to do something different.. today i got the perfect oportunity...
We went to the zoo and this Buffalo thought it would be fun to jump around and kick. I had a feeling he was pretty young. He had me laughing!
