bed rest week 3

Finding abstract in nature - palm frond. Picture was taken on vacation, but post-processing to crop and punch color into abstract done this week.

This week our chefs made giant marshmallow scarecrows and colored their own coconut (for straw) with food coloring. Of course you can't have a scarecrow without a rake, so they made rake cookies too. They smelled delicious. The most exciting part of class was learning how to make different colored icing by mixing various food colors!

Week 19

Title: Water

52 Weeks of 2023

Rainy weather this week, so water butts will be full. If I'd seen this last week, I might have chosen it for Weathered.

Being 19 weeks expecting is an important landmark not just for the mom-to-be yet the baby also. This is the middle of the pregnancy term as well as there are different modifications taking place within the bodies of both. The mom-to-be is a little bit more relaxed and also in-tune with the modifications taking place […]

Week 2

Theme - Light through glass.

So I parked up last night on my way home & took this shot through the car window. Plenty of lights in here. The xmas tree lights still in the trees, the moving cars, and the reflections of my dashboard & those in the wing mirror. Probably too much going on.

Oh, I'm acting all casual, leaning up against the wall... But I just cannot wait until we get closer to that little pink dot! 4 more weeks :)

Napkins as a collage layer

This week has been hard.

Things that seemed so certain are completely gone....and another major hit to the heart from the one, who for reasons that don't make sense, still possess it completely.....

I really need a boost of good news....something that make me feel validated in my decision....

Been keeping super busy these days with shoots, but I'm not complaining! This is from a wedding I shot last week at The Look Out Point Inn. Beautiful bed and breakfast with a lovely view of the lake. A great place for intimate weddings in case you were wondering.

FlaRF 2016 - Week 2

Back in the late 90's I received this cool mosaic 'Steal Your Face' from the NPR station WNCW in Spindale North Carolina while I was living in Rutherfordton. David Gans was hosting the callathon and I got to speak with him briefly, and they sent me this for my donation. This is my distortion photo taken with my 10-24mm in a lightbox, distorted by my magnifying glass. Hope you dig it.

Music - I had a few options this week, as usual. I chose this one (late) because I saw my husband transcribing some of his practice music. I'm not sure how he takes these notes & makes music with his practice chanter from them, but color me impressed! I love the bagpipes, but it's a mystery to me!

This is when we first got Wang Wang. She was just 8 weeks old. It's amazing how much difference a few months can make.
